Hi all,

Me and DH have mixed feelings about this girls name (he loves it and I keep changing my mind lol).

If you heard this name (pronounced; Kez-EE-ah) what would you think? Who would you expect to use it? Do you like how it sounds?

Don’t be afraid of being rude in any way! I want your gut reaction lol x

Makes me think of a mythical goddess. I like it

Kez-EYE-a.

It's quite American sounding to me, but in a wholesome-traditional-American way, not in a "Madison/Wyatt" type way. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, it was popular among African American families.

I really like it, but it will get pronounced all ways. If you are OK with that, go for it!

It's a Biblical name, FFS.

Lordfrontpaw · 01/06/2020 15:05

Not a very well known one to be fair!

Ladsladslads · 01/06/2020 15:39

I've only met one, pronounced kez-eye-ah. She from a very devout family so an old biblical name fit I guess

SJaneS48 · 01/06/2020 15:41

Not keen!

Carouselfish · 01/06/2020 16:04

First thought is loud and rude, it's the Kez starter of the name. And the fact it leaves the mouth open with the ah ending. Don't like it at all, despite it having classic credentials.

Romany traveller. I think because of Kizzy.

planningaheadtoday · 01/06/2020 16:11

Romany gypsies

I would assume that her parents were v religious.

One of the three kings that rode on camels to Bethlehem. It wasn't, but sounds like it belongs in that story.

A very lovely girl I went to school with. I'd never heard it before then and I've liked the name ever since.

I've known two ladies named Kezia.
Both pronounced the same way.
Kez-eye-ah
Stress is on the EYE bit.
Both utterly lovely.
