Solomon is lovely; the diminutive Solly is rather sweet too!

Love them both though!

geewhizz69 · 30/05/2020 12:33

Thank you very much Smile

Solomon is really lovely. Balthazar I've only ever come across in Romeo and Juliet.

pilates · 30/05/2020 12:55

Solomon

octoberfarm · 30/05/2020 13:12

Solomon all the way!

ofwarren · 30/05/2020 13:13

Solomon is my favourite of those two.

seriousandloyal · 30/05/2020 13:16

Solomon

HermioneWeasley · 30/05/2020 13:20

Balthazar is a burden for a kid. Solomon is much more normal

Lilybea1995 · 30/05/2020 13:23

Balthazar is so cool. I really dislike Solomon I always think of salmon

YourVagesty · 30/05/2020 13:35

These are two of my favourite names of all time. Balthasar just edges it for me.

Worriedaboutthefuture1 · 30/05/2020 13:37

I really like Balthazar - it makes me think of Balthazar Getty (90’s actor - remember him?)

123Dancewithme · 30/05/2020 13:55

I prefer the Balthazar spelling.

Elieza · 30/05/2020 14:03

Do either of them mean something special to you or are you just seeking an unusual name?

ChelseaCat · 30/05/2020 14:04

I like them both - sorry, realise that’s not helpful!

geewhizz69 · 30/05/2020 14:06

Cheers Chelsea cat

Balthazar makes me think of the three kings in the Christmas story. I don't hate it but it depends on your child's surname and your social circle. Solomon has more universal appeal, I feel.

IVflytrap · 30/05/2020 14:16

Solomon - I love it.

Grufallosfriends · 30/05/2020 14:43

Like them both, but prefer Balthasar. Cool and classic and memorable!

SleepingStandingUp · 30/05/2020 14:46

We had Balthazar on our dream list along with Thaddeus but in the end decided it was a bit too onerous for a wc kid in the Midlands. I think if we were a bit more upper class we'd have gone with it.

Solomon is OK, I prefer Balthazar nn Zar

Lavenderblues · 30/05/2020 14:47

Both great names. I'd probably choose Solomon but Balthasar is pretty cool too.

LolaSmiles · 30/05/2020 14:49

Solomon is lovely

userabcname · 30/05/2020 14:49

Solomon.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 14:49

Solomon as I love the nn Solly/Sol :)

Ellmau · 30/05/2020 15:42

Both are good names. I prefer the z spelling with Bathazar.

Kardashianasssss · 30/05/2020 16:25

Balthazar for sure!
