Middle name for Polly or Rosie?

I'm 37+6 and we're still stuck on a name for our little girl! We both like Polly and Rosie for a first name- I think I prefer Polly and my husband prefers Rosie. I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on the following ideas for names...

Do these sound silly? Any other suggestions for a pretty middle name for Polly, as this is name I think is most difficult to find a middle name which sounds good!

Alice Rose/Rosa (Rosa sounds more mature than Rosie)

I think both Polly Alice and Rosie Alice sounds odd. They merge together as if one word. But it’s a middle name, so it doesn’t really matter. Willow is too much alongside Rosie. I’d go for something more substantial as a middle name, starting with a consonant. Catherine?

I agree I think something substantial, especially with Polly, something like Catherine, Violet, Florence, Elizabeth, Gloria, Francis...

Rosie Alice goes the best, IMO. Polly Willow and Rosie Willow remind me too much of Pussy Willow!

@1985Thickney the name Polly will forever go with Jean in my head as a PJ Harvey fan. Against general consensus but I think a one syllable rolls best after Polly rather than something more substantial, but that’ll purely be because of PJ Harvey 😂 . Of your suggestions, I think Polly Alice or Rosie Willow sound best, because I don’t think Rosie Alice is the best combo with the ‘ie’ ending leading into a ‘a’ initial, and Polly Willow because of the double ll’s in both. If it was me, I’d probs give 3 names - something like Polly Gracie Jeane, accentuating the lovely vintagey / country vibes .

You could go for Rosanna or Pollyanna followed by a middle name starting with a consonant like Kathryn...
It gives your dd choices of name such as Rose, Rosie, Polly or Anna.

I have a Polly Elizabeth. Middle name is a family name. I think they go lovely together

@DaddysGirl36 I did think about Elizabeth, as it's my middle name, but it's also my mother's middle name and we don't get on at all... However, it's also my MIL's middle name and she's absolutely lovely, so maybe I should mull that one over a bit more.

Lots of really nice suggestions. It's trying to find something that's pretty but not too "frilly" that's been hard! It's also hard because I seem to love all the names that have already been taken by friends and family with their babies!!

Polly Beth sounds nice to me.

Do you have to have a middle name? I can see the point if there's a family or relative's name you'd like to use, but otherwise there's no need.

I prefer Rosa or Rose with Elizabeth as a middle name

Rosie and Willow were my husband's suggestions. Rosie grew on me- I did look into more formal versions so that it could be shortened to Rosie (or Rose, whichever she likes), but I didn't really love any of them. I've liked Polly for a long time, but we couldn't compromise and have one or the other as a middle name because they both have an "ee" ending. It will be such a relief to finally make a choice!

I agree, Polly Rose is beautiful.

Rose is another favourite girls name of mine & Polly Rose sounds lovely but if you had another girl in the future then you could use Rosie so that would personally stop me.
