Middle name June?

We would like Edie June, June as the middle name from my nans middle name. My nan is Pearl June. However, our friends have an Elsie June ☹️ do you think this is too similar?

We've spoke to them about the middle name being June and they're fine with it, but I just don't know in myself if I'm comfortable having a name so similar, or am I being daft?

It's either that or Edie Pearl, which I'm not totally against but it's not preferred.

Doesn't have to be sentimental either to be fair, does anyone have any June alternative suggestions?

Thanks in advance x

Go with June. No one even remembers middle names after the first few months and it’s an important name to you. Plus your friends don’t mind.

Agree. Stick with June if you love it. Could see you might have doubts if they were the same first names but as middle names I think it's absolutely fine. Smile

I think both Edie June and Edie Pearl are absolutely beautiful names so good picking! I think it would also depend how close you are to the friends as I understand why you might be worried about it. Are they the kind of friends you can imagine in your life in ten years time? If not than I wouldn't worry about it as your child's name if forever!

Definitely go for Edie June, I see your concern but you are overthinking it a little. It's a middle name and your friend says she doesn't mind anyway.

Go with June! No one really says middle names and yet your daughter will have it for life, including when your friend isn't around.

DramaAlpaca · 29/05/2020 18:55

It's a middle name so it really doesn't matter.

Edie June is adorable.

NuffSaidSam · 29/05/2020 18:57

It really, really, really doesn't matter if your child has the same middle name as a friend's child.

peperethecat · 29/05/2020 20:47

It's really not a problem for your child to have the same middle name as your friend's child.

I would go for Edith June though, with Edie as a nickname.

It’s your grandmas name so you aren’t copying them at all. Def go with June!

lozpants · 29/05/2020 22:46

Thanks for all the comments guys, I think it's mainly as Elsie and Edie are pretty similar in themselves and I just overthink a lot!

@peperethecat thank you for your suggestion but we don't like Edith, it'll be Edie :)
