Hazel or Robyn?

Thoughts? Or neither?

We don't know what we are having yet, but we find boys names much easier than girls! One consideration is that we really like Robert for a boy, so using Robyn would rule that out for future DC.

I love Hazel. It's top three in my list.

RottieLover95 · 28/05/2020 08:58

I love both of these names so much, I don't think you could go wrong with either! If I had to choose it would be Robyn though :)

ButDoUAvocado · 28/05/2020 09:00

I prefer Robyn. It’s a ‘cool girls’ name, it’s Rihanna’s real name after all!
Hazel sounds more ‘goody two shoes with pigtails who snitches to the teacher.’

missyB1 · 28/05/2020 09:02

Hazel is beautiful and unusual, I much prefer it to Robyn.

peperethecat · 28/05/2020 09:13

Robyn but I prefer it spelt Robin.

tothesea · 28/05/2020 09:24

They are both lovely names and were on my list if I had a girl.

EmbarrassedUser · 28/05/2020 09:26

Neither. They’re both quite boring names.

Singingatmidnight · 28/05/2020 10:33

Hazel, but Robyn is nice too!

Mollymalone123 · 28/05/2020 10:40

Every Hazel I have met has been a lovely person! Not helpful I know but because of that I prefer Hazel

MondeoFan · 28/05/2020 10:43

Robyn

missmouse101 · 28/05/2020 10:43

Hazel

babynamelover · 28/05/2020 10:44

I love the name Hazel ❤️. Robyn is okay definitely go with the y for a girl.

nervousnelly8 · 28/05/2020 11:10

Thanks everyone. I really loved Hazel before I had DS1 - if he had been a girl he would have been Hazel. I went off it a bit when thinking for DC2 but seem to be falling in love again!

ProfessorPlumInTheLibrary · 28/05/2020 11:38

Hazel is beautiful

Whatsyourflava · 28/05/2020 11:58

Both lovely. Slight preference for hazel

Edenember · 28/05/2020 12:49

I prefer Robyn, I think.

MyBlueMoonbeam · 28/05/2020 12:53

Hazel is a lovely name
Don't like y used instead of i in names

Kokeshi123 · 28/05/2020 13:47

Hazel! Robyn is too gender-ambiguous.

daisypond · 28/05/2020 14:01

I’m not keen on either, really, but Hazel is better than Robyn.

river12 · 28/05/2020 14:06

Robyn is really nice

SpecialKakapo · 28/05/2020 14:08

Hazel is lovely. I work with a Hazel and have always been jealous of her name.

TempsPerdu · 28/05/2020 19:09

Oh that’s a hard one - both lovely and we’re both on our list for DD. I think Hazel just edges it though.

badg3r · 28/05/2020 20:42

I like both but preference for hazel as a girl's name. This is going to sounds ridiculous, but I love that it has a z in it!! I always used to wish I had "cool" letter in my name as a kid 🤣

SoberCurious · 28/05/2020 20:46

Hazel
