Hi,
Sorry this isn't my first baby name post but we are closer to a decision now. We are due to have a little girl any day and haven't fully agreed a name.
What are your favourites between Amelie, Isabelle (or Isabel), Annabelle (or Annabel). We will probably use another of those as a middle name. I also really like Willow but hubby is unsure although thoughts on that too would be great. I quite like Amelie something but would like to know what others think.
Only complication is we have a cat called Bella which I really regret now as I'm worried it limits us, but equally I don't want to rule out a lovely name for that reason.
Thanks all.

Amelie

missmouse101 · 25/05/2020 10:19

Annabel is lovely and underused. Not keen on the others. Wouldn't give a second thought to the cat's name! Annabel Willow is really good too.

userabcname · 25/05/2020 10:19

I love the name Willow! I prefer Annabelle out of your other choices.

JassyRadlett · 25/05/2020 10:23

Annabel by a mile! It’s lovey and not overpopular. Lots of Amelies in my son’s nursery - I think Isabel/le was super popular about 8-10 years ago.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/05/2020 10:27

Amelie Isabelle sounds nice. I think any of your choices are fine but I’m not keen on Willow.

Your cat being called Bella removes that nickname choice from Annabelle or Isabelle.

matchboxtwentyunwell · 25/05/2020 10:27

Amelie Willow is a very pretty combination

disappear · 25/05/2020 10:35

Annabelle Willow

Teacaketotty · 25/05/2020 10:40

I second Amelie Willow that’s really pretty - plus if your DH isn’t keen on Willow he might not mind the middle name and you still get to use it!

Aber9 · 25/05/2020 10:47

Annabel

Miriel · 25/05/2020 10:56

Annabel or Isabel. The -lle ending is too frilly and fussy for my liking. Annabel Willow is lovely.

yikesanotherbooboo · 25/05/2020 11:00

Annabel
I love Isabel as well but there are a lot of them
Less keen on Amelie
I don't like the 'le' addition to either name.
Willow is nice as first or second name.

finallychangedmyusername · 25/05/2020 11:04

Annabel

peperethecat · 25/05/2020 11:10

Isabel or Annabel.

Amelie is overused and I don't like the "belle" spellings (too frilly).

I think I marginally prefer Isabel but you will have spelling issues with people writing Isabelle or Isobel.

Blursula · 25/05/2020 11:20

All gorgeous names. I’d lean towards Annabelle as it seems quite underused

Disfordarkchocolate · 25/05/2020 11:22

Willow
Annabel or any variation of this.

NannyR · 25/05/2020 11:24

Another vote for Annabel Willow, I love Isabel too. Not keen on the extra -le on either. Amelie is very popular.

Fifthtimelucky · 25/05/2020 11:37

Isobel or Annabel.

I agree with others that the 'elle' endings are a bit frilly.

Not keen on Amelie

RoomForMore · 25/05/2020 11:46

Isabel Willow. Issy for short if the cat has already taken Bella?

LotusClover · 25/05/2020 12:11

Amelie will constantly get misread as Amelia and misheard as Emily.

Isabel/Isabelle is far too common.

Annabel is lovely (spelt this way). Not massively popular but still recognised and easy to pronounce.

Annabel Willow is lovely. Actually, Willow goes nice as a middle name for all three of your names.

zscaler · 25/05/2020 12:17

My favourite is Annabel - underused and really pretty!

Lavenderblues · 25/05/2020 12:21

Annabel or Isabel. Although neither are 'underused', they're quite popular actually!

Please don't spell them Isabelle or Annabelle unless you're French and emphasise the second syllable. Looks far too frilly too!

Twooter · 25/05/2020 12:23

Isabelle Amelie. Love Izzy as snickname ( and solves cat issue!)

Littleyellowfootball · 25/05/2020 12:23

Love Annabel Willow.
Agree the spelling Annabelle is too frilly for me as well.

Flappingflamingo · 25/05/2020 12:34

I have an Isabel, I love it and she loves her name 😍

Bubbletrouble43 · 25/05/2020 12:36

They are all lovely, I have an Isabel, I don't like the fussy spelling, see no need for the extra LE on the end of that or Annabel, which is also lovely.
