Are these too similar for siblings?

Hmm they would be if Andrew chose to be an Andy at some point?

Destroyedpeople · 25/05/2020 00:23

Yes a bit too similar esp if he was an Andy. If his name was shortened to Drew it would be ok.

Allinadaystwerk · 25/05/2020 00:25

Love the name Annie but not Andrew. And yes too similar.

JasHarts · 25/05/2020 00:56

I don’t think they’re too similar

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2020 02:45

If they ever become Annie and Andy, yes they are too similar.

IloveParmaViolets · 25/05/2020 05:45

Too similar but I'd choose Anna instead of Annie as it would suit a child as well as an adult. Annie sounds immature & childlike which is fine for a 5 year old girl but not a 25 year old woman.

Lavenderblues · 25/05/2020 07:36

Yes Annie and Andy are way too similar imo

iVampire · 25/05/2020 07:40

It was good enough for The Queen’s middle two

toomuchteaandcake · 25/05/2020 11:19

I like it!

BeMorePacific · 25/05/2020 13:45

I don’t think they’re too similar xx

Yes

How funny, I never thought of that Anne and Andrew are very similar!

ZebraKid71 · 25/05/2020 13:51

I know an Anna and Andrew sibset. I wouldn't use them but they're not unusable together.

Edenember · 26/05/2020 18:40

I would say too similar for me personally.

bridgetreilly · 26/05/2020 19:04

Yes.

Why is it not OK for an adult? So often in here I read similar comments, or comments claiming that certain names are not suitable for a professional'. FWIW, I like both names. The only Andrew I know is always known by his full name, no 'nicknames' at all.
Roseburn · 26/05/2020 20:47

Erictheavocado

wow. How did you do that ??

Depends how you access MN. I use the mobile site and if you go to the three dots at the bottom of a post, there's a quote option. There's a thread in site stuff that tells you how to do it on the full site and the app.
