Idris is slowly becoming a favourite.

Which stars are you naming the baby after?

Rico is nice, honestly not really keen on any of the others.

I live Idris, not bothered either way about the rest.

Idris - elba. Welsh/Arabic
Emilio - estevez. Emilia too popular
Rico - His name was Rico, he wore a diamond
Mathias - Matthias. 2 pronunciations

I’ve met 1 Idris (Welsh) and I Mathias ever.

Idris will inspire all school staff and academic staff to love him!

I'd call someone to an interview in Chem Eng with that name!

I know a few Mathuis' in Germany pronounced Mat-a-us how else would you pronounce it ? I don't like any of them

We have the same taste in names! LOVE Idris and Mathias, not as keen on Emilio or Rico.

Where I'm from, Idris is a muslim name. I know so many of them, more than 50...

Of all that you listed, I prefer Mathias

I love Idris. Emilio is nice but there are so many Amelias and Emilias now... obviously those are for girls but it would put me off.

Idris with variations of Adris/Adrees/Idrees I know alot. Very common Muslim name.
Mathias only knew one, my dads old manager.
Rico, only know one but short for Ricardo.
Emilio never known any!

One way I've found out if I like a baby name or not is to keep referring to bump in that name and say it often if its starts to sound weird or I cant feel myself calling my child it out loud then it's off the list!

But you need to choose what you like not random ppl on the internet but I really hate Rico due to bad experience with a black labrador.

I love Idris, know one who I've known since childhood... he's late 30s now.

Rico I only know as short for something e.g. Federico. It means rich or delicious/tasty in Spanish. Not keen.

Rico makes me think of "Uncle Rico" from Napoleon Dynamite.

I don’t know anyone with any of the names. Really like them all except for Rico. Matthias is lovely but will get shortened to Matt which ruins it a bit for me!

Love Mathias. Also love Mattias, Matthias, Matias, Matteo, any variation is gorgeous.

Idris - like.
Emilio - okay, not my style.
Rico - i reeeeeeeeeaally don't get the appeal. I just think of some 2-dimensional gangster in a Z-list movie.
Matthias - very nice, travels well. Prefer ma-tie-uss to ma-tay-uss pronunication but it is still nice. Pronunciation not really an issue, takes 2 seconds to correct someone if necessary.

Don't get upset over names - you don't even know the gender yet! Focus on something else for a while. :-)

I picked DS1 name at 15 weeks(frantically searching for girls name just incase). I find out in 3 days.

Mathias is unusual here, I've never met one.
