Edith Seren or Edith Hazel ?

Had lots of help with the name Edith so a huge thank you for that :) ...but which would you choose to follow out of Seren and Hazel?

Edith is lovely. I prefer Seren, just never really liked Hazel

NeverHadANickname · 23/05/2020 18:41

I like Edith Hazel

pilates · 23/05/2020 18:45

Edith Seren
Dislike Hazel

Mumma4262 · 23/05/2020 18:48

I love the name Seren!

LondonTowers · 23/05/2020 20:00

Edith Seren seems to be the favourite.... Wasn't 100% sure if the 2 names went together enough... but like two worlds colliding perhaps Hmm

I prefer Seren. I don't like the name Hazel.

Whatsyourflava · 23/05/2020 20:08

Edith is lovely!
I like both middle names- probably prefer Hazel

IckleBear · 23/05/2020 20:10

Edith Seren! I don't like the h heavy Edit(h-H)azel

Ninkanink · 23/05/2020 20:11

Hazel. I don’t think Edith goes with Seren at all.

BrandoraPaithwaite · 23/05/2020 20:11

I like both combinations. Edith Seren sounds softer than Edith Hazel but Hazel has lovely nature connotations. Seren implies Welsh connection.

LotusClover · 23/05/2020 20:49

I prefer Edith Hazel. Edith and Seren are two very different names and they don't seem to go somehow.

Lizadork · 23/05/2020 21:01

I am not keen on Edith but I like Meredith Hazel

HavelockVetinari · 23/05/2020 21:03

You don't need one - if you've got a long surname then don't bother, DH hates his because there are never enough spaces on official forms, and it's not like anyone ever uses their middle name (unless their first name is awful!).

LondonTowers · 23/05/2020 22:03

I use my middle name. I was having a similar discussion with my OH recently as he doesn't have one and assumes it's a hassle but it isn't really. For some reason the men in my family use their middle name as first name as first name is inherited from the father ;)

I think Seren is prettier than Hazel but Edith Hazel somehow fits better together!

TokenGinger · 23/05/2020 22:10

Edith Seren flows much more nicely. Beautiful name.

Letthemysterybe · 23/05/2020 22:15

I prefer Edith Hazel. But if you have a Welsh connection then go for
Seren. I think it’s nice when middle
names have a ‘meaning’.

LondonTowers · 23/05/2020 23:09

Thanks all!

I have a very welsh name, no recent welsh heritage but its there somewhere! I was actually looking for middle names inspired by the natural world and those 2 are my current faves..... bit twee I know but all my children have this connection Wink I was expecting Bubba to arrive about a week ago so this is a welcome distraction. Thanks for the input!

I prefer Edith Hazel, but Edith Seren is nice as a nod to your Welsh heritage.

RichPetunia · 23/05/2020 23:43

Prefer Hazel

copperoliver · 24/05/2020 00:01

Seren x

MikeUniformMike · 24/05/2020 11:10

Hazel.
I don't like Seren at all.
