Due a baby girl in September, we have a few names we both agree on but not 100% on anything.

Names we like:
Freya - my favourite but I’m a bit put off with how popular this is
Maya/Mya - pronounced my-a not may-a
Imogen
Isobel

I like Ada but again it’s shot up in popularity. I like Ruby and Elodie but DP doesn’t. Middle name will be either Elizabeth or Kelly and surname is double barrelled two short names.

Would love to hear some suggestions please!

My DD is Astrid - along the same Scandinavian lines as Freya, although it too seems to be rising in popularity.
How about Iris for a similar granny-chic vibe to Ada but maybe a bit less popular?

Freya - I like it but much prefer the original Freja spelling
Maya - Not my taste as all I think about is the actual Mayan culture
Isobel - I feel Isabel is a nicer spelling but even then feels a little bit dated
Imogen - I cant help think of the word "image"

Suggestions:
Maeve
Juniper
Gemma
Astrid
Sasha

I know a Mya. She’s always getting called Maya and having to correct it and even then people just don’t remember which it is.

If you want it pronounced 'My-a' then I think it should be spelled Maia.

Freya Elizabeth or Imogen Elizabeth would be my choices.

Thanks everyone!

@LotusClover I suggested Adeline shortened to Ada but DP doesn’t like it Sad

Also love Madeline, Caitlin, Halle but can’t use them for various reasons.

I forgot we also have Autumn on the list that we both agree on.

DS has a name that’s been high up the charts for decades so I’m not against using a popular name as such but want to avoid a name that’s like ‘oh she was born in 2020’ if that makes sense.

Imogen is my favourite by a mile - perfect!

Amaia/Amaya
Harriet
Carmen
Delilah

If you look at the official ONS data Imogen has been on a downward trajectory each and every year since 2010 - it's much rarer these days . I don't know any - love it!

I like Autumn and Freya.
