Dc2 is due in two weeks and dh and I have decided on Michaela for a girl but aren’t for a boy. Could anyone shed some light on middle names and help pick an already hard to choose name!

Michael?

Edenember · 11/05/2020 20:45

I like Jude best from your options x

Justgivemesomepeace · 11/05/2020 20:46

I love Jude.

Marlena1 · 11/05/2020 20:48

Ryan is one of my favs! Could he take a family middle name?

PickleSarnie · 11/05/2020 20:49

Corby?! Have you been to Corby?! You wouldn't call your child that if you had.

daisypond · 11/05/2020 21:11

Jude

itseasybeingcheesy · 11/05/2020 21:12

Jude

Whatsyourflava · 11/05/2020 21:18

How about Jude Barnaby
Jude Nathan
Jude Sidney
Jude Caleb
Jude Tristan
Jude Matthew

LockdownLoon · 11/05/2020 21:19

Corby makes me think of Corbyn BlushConfused however, Jude is lovely.

LangClegsInSpace · 11/05/2020 21:19

Not Corby.

babynamelover · 11/05/2020 21:20

I prefer Ryan or Jude. Do you have any family names you might like to use?

ElectricTonight · 11/05/2020 21:21

Jude Michael
Jude Lewis
Jude Matthew
Jude Riley
Jude Ryan

Oooo Ryan is a lovely name. It's one of my brother's middle names but for some reason I've never really considered it as a name in its own right. I reckon if I ever had a boy it would be in the running.

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 11/05/2020 22:02

Hello all. From the general consent of this thread I have spoken to dh and we have decided to rule out Corby Wink. Currently thinking of Matthew or Michael for middle names thanks to some good suggestions. Also now possibly thinking of Damian as a first name!

Yes Corby is a town in Northamptonshire. Anyone who lives there would wet themselves with laughter at a kid being called that.

(Disclaimer : I quite like the town of Corby. It has a great swimming pool)

averythinline · 11/05/2020 22:07

Jude is good - also like Seth -which I think of as a similar name
Ryan - is a different sort of name bit plainer but a perfectly good name

Jude Ryan
Jude Micheal sounds good ....
Jude Edward

not a fan of Damien but mainly because both people I've known have been horrible so its a personal dislike rather than anything about the name - although prefer Jude!

WhatOnFuckingEarth · 11/05/2020 22:40

@averythinline love Seth. Dc1 is a Seth!

Jude Michael sounds good.

Staffori · 12/05/2020 00:37

Glad you ruled out Corby and not keen on Damian - it reminds me of The Omen.

Jude and Ryan are great names but very different kinds of names and I think Jude goes much better with Seth.

ErrolTheDragon · 12/05/2020 00:45

Oh good... afaik its only appearance on MN baby name threads up till now has been when discussing the American penchant for using random british place names for their kids and I've sarcastically suggested Corby. ( well, given they apparently use Harlow and Preston why not... though I'm sure Corby would be for a girl. )Grin

Yes - they're both biblical, and also a nice solid 19th C novel vibe.

MikeUniformMike · 12/05/2020 16:02

Corby

averythinline · 13/05/2020 19:05

Gotta be Jude then :)

PickUpAPickUpAPenguin · 13/05/2020 19:20

Damian makes me think of the Omen too.
