Additions to the list: Boys

We like classic names that are perhaps underused, or less popular for boys. Having read through some threads on MN they seem to crop up a lot but in reality we don't know of any little boys with these names. Looking for some more suggestions that you think we may like as we are still in the early stages of getting some lists together to try to see what we like the most.

So far we have

• Edward
• Kit
• Rupert
• Felix
• Peter
• Rudy
• Alexander (more likely to be used as a middle name)

That's a great point @whatsyourflava and has made me feel a lot better. My only worry is with Rupert and Felix for example, that are on the up, that they would become like Arthur, which flew from around the 200 mark up to top 5 I think?

I definitely agree though that the names mentioned on here a lot, don't actually crop up in reality. I suppose we can't plan or control these things either and if we love the names, then just go for it and not worry so much about the trends.

Rufus & Wilbur

I really love James. Also, Rufus, Jasper and Miles!

Wonder if James is too popular for a first name...

Really like your name list except for Peter and Edward, to me they're just a bit dull sounding. With regard to the more traditional 'older' names you like, I love James and Alexander, they stand the test of time well.

@pinkpinecone I like Finn from your list. I just find it a bit too modern compared to my other choices.
