Thoughts for a boy? Is it popular in your area?

I don't like it, sorry. It sounds too feminine and pretty. I can't imagine a teenage boy will thank you for that name. That's obviously just my opinion though. I'm sure lots of people will come and say "I know or have a Valentine and he loves his name".

I really like it but don't think I'd actually use it, it feels a bit feminine quite a big name for a little boy. My feeling is that only very confident boys would be able to pull this off well. I've not come across it where I live.

I love it, very classic

Cute for a toddler but I’m sure he won’t thank you when he’s at school

Sorry, I agree with others, it sounds too femine, just asked my 14 year old boy what he thinks, he said he would hate it and my girls thought it was a girls name.

Completely fabulous name. There is one in my family.

xeniiia · 07/05/2020 18:01

I love it but for a girl

Parsley1234 · 07/05/2020 18:04

My sons middle name he loves it

ShaniaPayne · 07/05/2020 18:06

I know a grown-up Valentine - he's known as Val, generally, and really suits it. Valentine in full every day is a bit of a mouthful, but if you've got a diminutive you like, why not?

pinkpinecone · 07/05/2020 18:21

It would make an excellent middle name.

VisionQuest · 07/05/2020 18:26

Don't like it for boy or a girl

peperethecat · 07/05/2020 18:35

I think it could be good as a middle name but I wouldn't use it as a first name.

Reminds me of that chef, Valentine (Warner?)

He seemed like a good egg. So that's the association I'd immediately have. A nice chap.
