really like this. means queen, peaceful, joy, night... in so many languages. but, will she be teased ab Rain ..? Don't mind it as a nickname or Rainy even I find it cute, if she chooses these.

I quite like it, though I prefer Raine. I don't think teasing should be much of a problem.

Divebar · 04/05/2020 12:29

I definitely prefer Raine ( as in Raine Spencer ) .... Raina sounds made up to me although I bow to your greater knowledge. I do know a Rana and she is very cool.

Cooljoggings · 04/05/2020 12:45

Beautiful name, shouldn't think there would be any teasing. Raine definitely sounds too masculine for a little girl.

Queen Raina is the most prominent example that comes to mind, and she is both extremely elegant and beautiful! Best wishes with your final decision, this is a lovely option.

20viona · 04/05/2020 12:49

I know one spelt raena I like it.

NameChange84 · 04/05/2020 12:50

I love Raina.

(as an aside I thought it was Queen Rania of Jordan?)

Went to school with a Raine, she didn’t get bullied. Although I really don’t like the name Raine, it’s quite dull and old fashioned. She changed to it Rain to be more of a “hippy chick” Grin.

Helskitchen · 04/05/2020 13:16

I like it too. I know of a Reena also who is lovely.

Thefaceofboe · 04/05/2020 13:57

I really like Raina but not sure about the spelling, but sounds lovely.

SionnachRua · 04/05/2020 13:58

Love Raina and Rania.

gabbyyyyyyyyy · 04/05/2020 14:02

i know someone called rainer and she doesnt get teased about rain?

ruby2019missyou · 04/05/2020 14:03

Raine is nice. Rainy is cute. You could do a lot lot worse.

paerol · 04/05/2020 14:03

I love it. Raina or Reina.

BelfastNonBlonde · 04/05/2020 14:04

@toughgetsgoing

How would you pronouce it?

RYE-na or
REIN-na

NailsNeedDoing · 04/05/2020 14:07

Or Ra-INA.

I like lots of the variations, they’re all pretty names.

rooarsome · 04/05/2020 14:08

I love it. It reminds me of the movie Spy as well, one of my faves 😂

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/05/2020 14:10

I'd go with a Y, so Rayna. Don't know why; possibly because of BloodRayne...Confused

LuckyFlash · 04/05/2020 14:50

I know a Rayna and really like it

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/05/2020 15:03

I like it - it's interesting and I quite like Ray for a girl's nickname. Rayna has got a swishy, nature quality to it.
