I'm thinking Cedric for a boy (maybe?!) but not sure on the middle name. I like old fashioned, poshy types.
I was thinking Cedric Sebastian but would that be too much 'c' sounds.
Or is Sebastian first name better???

I love Cedric! I much prefer it to Sebastian.

pilates · 03/05/2020 21:05

Sebastian is better, Cedric is awful sorry

daisypond · 03/05/2020 21:06

Sorry, I don’t like Cedric at all. Not keen on Sebastian either but it’s better than Cedric.

maybelou · 03/05/2020 21:09

I think this thread will go in favour of Sebastian if the popularity rankings play out: seven Cedrics to 1964 Sebastians at the last count. Still love Cedric. To me it sounds fresh, handsome, and distinct from other current names.

Whatsyourflava · 03/05/2020 21:27

Just don't really like Cedric

Sounds like "said Rick"

Enko · 03/05/2020 21:54

Cedric is fab

pinkpinecone · 03/05/2020 22:17

I actually quite like Cedrick but there's something a bit silly sounding about it. I think I'd probably go for Sebastian it's a good all rounder as also nice shortened to Seb.

pinkpinecone · 03/05/2020 22:18

Cedric sorry haha emphasising the Rick there

Herpesfreesince03 · 03/05/2020 22:20

Agree Cedric sounds a bit silly. The word ‘wet’ springs to mind. Sebastian is much better. I wouldn’t put the two together

ofwarren · 03/05/2020 22:20

Dont Americans pronounce it SeedRick?
Horrible name.

Marcipex · 03/05/2020 22:21

Sorry but I really don’t like Cedric.
It sounds really weedy and wet.

SnowdropFox · 03/05/2020 22:22

I like Cedric, strong and not overly common. Sebastian is great, I like the nns. Having both wouldn't bother me as long as it worked with my surname.

EatShitBoswell · 03/05/2020 22:23

Did anyone watch a cartoon about raccoons as a child? I'm pretty sure Cyril Sneer had s son called Cedric which puts me off the name immensely.

I think Sebastian is much nicer!

BeMoreZenLike · 03/05/2020 22:28

Ooo i like Cedric!!!!

Hairdowntohisknees · 03/05/2020 22:31

Please don't. The poor kid will hate his name forever.

Tanyaaah · 03/05/2020 22:33

Awful! Sounds like a member of the Junior Conservative Party.

Bobbybobbins · 03/05/2020 22:34

@EatShitBoswell

Agree will always be Cedric Sneer!

123Dancewithme · 03/05/2020 22:46

I quite like Cedric!

Tavannach · 03/05/2020 22:52

Cedric is a good name for a hamster. Sebastian is much better for a person.

LuckyMarmiteLover · 03/05/2020 22:55

I’m sure there was a farting dog in All creatures great and small called Cedric Grin

Tillygetsit · 03/05/2020 22:55

I much prefer Cedric to Sebastian. Cedric is fresher and at my school, Sebastian was known as Sebastard. Sorry. Blush

LuckyMarmiteLover · 03/05/2020 22:57

Ha ha - yes I’m right:

Isn’t there a comedian called Cedric the entertainer?
