Think we have narrowed it down to these two. Which do you prefer? Thanks

Leo
Jonah

Big brother is Laurie.

Other names on our shortlist were Seth, Sacha, Joah (rhymes with Noah) and Casper.

Jonah or Jonas :).
I think Seth fits better style wise though.
Is Laurie short for Laurence or just Laurie?

Jonah.

Leo

Laurie and Leo is hard to say so I’d go with Jonah (never met one.)

BobbyBlueCat · 03/05/2020 07:55

Jonah is nice. Very solid and dependable sounding.

Leo sounds a bit chavvy to me. It also (for me) is an abbreviation of a longer name, not a name in itself. I just picture a very loud, misbehaving child.

I like Jonah, it's a bit different, but not ridiculous, and still easy to spell/pronounce!

@daisypond thanks. I would never have but it in the same camp as Jezebel and Judas (while I’ve heard someone say ‘x is a Judas’ I’ve never heard someone say ‘x is a Jonah’) but it’s interesting to know some people might.

@babynamelover just Laurie! I really want to like Jonas more than I do as it ticks so many boxes ... I just can’t get past the Jonas brothers! I do like Seth too and I think it’s quite underused, just not sure I like it enough.
