I'm expecting baby no 3. Have a girl called Sienna and a boy named Rocco.

What are your thoughts on Savannah? The other name I'm considering is Valentina.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like both! I've met a Savannah in real life and I know of a Valentina. Both lovely names in my opinion.

tessiegirl · 02/05/2020 19:20

I love Savannah but wondering if it's a bit too similar to Sienna Confused

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 02/05/2020 19:23

I love love love Savannah not keen on Valentina

Windyatthebeach · 02/05/2020 19:25

Goes lovely with your other dc's names!!

123Dancewithme · 02/05/2020 19:37

Doesn’t Sienna Miller have a sister called Savannah?

BurnIt · 02/05/2020 19:38

LOOOOOOVE Savannah. Beautiful OP

GetTheSprinkles · 02/05/2020 19:40

LOVE all your names!
My DH wouldnt let me have a Rocco so my DS is called Leo.
He would have been Sienna (SiSi for short) if be had been a girl

ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie · 02/05/2020 19:59

Savannah is gorgeous. I also like Valentina but only if you have Italian or possibly Spanish heritage as if not, it just doesn’t sound right imo.

RoseMartha · 02/05/2020 20:26

Savannah is lovely

heidihigh · 02/05/2020 20:28

I LOVE Savannah Smile I also love Sienna, what beautiful names you have chosen!

K1mberlylauren · 02/05/2020 21:14

Savannah is beautiful I used to work with a girl called savannah such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl and I deffoe wouldn’t want to shorten this name !

K1mberlylauren · 02/05/2020 21:15

@ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie
Er no I don’t think so! My daughter has an Arabic name and she’s not Arabic !
Heritage ain’t got nothing to do with it!
Savannah is a beautiful name !!

Whatsyourflava · 02/05/2020 21:19

Savannah is ok but I think we have different taste as I find both names overly frilly
I feel like it's a name that's escalated, added loads of bells and frilly whistles on and gone too far
For example
Anna is a perfect lovely name
Add a bit of frill and it's Hannah
Add even more and you've got Savannah

That's just me. Expect I'm in the minority

ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie · 02/05/2020 21:21

@K1mberlylauren I was just giving my opinion. Names like Isabella, Sofia are Italian but lend well to English. A name like Valentina imo, doesn’t quite sound right. Plus it would get shortened to Val.

K1mberlylauren · 02/05/2020 21:30

@ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie
Yes I get that your giving an opinion but I also no a Valentina and she is English, not asif she’s choosing to call her Vishma!
Sorry if I got a bit aggy, I’ve had bad experiences on here to many rude people

K1mberlylauren · 02/05/2020 21:33

@BelliniButterfly
If you choose savannah very beautiful, if you Choose Valentina also very beautiful, wait till you see her you will know good luck xxz

Spirali · 02/05/2020 21:53

I have unpleasant memories of a girl named Savannah from my childhood. That being said, I still love the name!

Valentina is okay, I like the nickname Valle (like valley)

LotusClover · 02/05/2020 22:27

Savannah is one of my top favourite girls names. I was thinking it's a bit too similar to Sienna though!

Midnightdream · 03/05/2020 09:16

I'm a 27 year old Savannah named after Blue Savananh by Erasure(I love Andy Bell now as well)

I have only met one other Savannah who is in my DS school shes in Year 1. Obviously I'm bias Wink

BelliniButterfly · 03/05/2020 10:45

Thanks everyone.

I love both names so think I will wait until baby is here before I decide.

There's no Italian heritage in the family although Sienna and Rocco have an Italian theme (not intentional!)

Funnily enough and maybe it's just me but I don't think Sienna and Savannah sound that similar? I do like "frilly" pretty, feminine names though.

I know a savannah. Now I am a traditionalist but pam0Johnsons comment seems to grate even with me.

DramaAlpaca · 04/05/2020 04:10

I'm not mad on Savannah. I much prefer Valentina with your other names.

toughgetsgoing · 04/05/2020 09:51

I love it admittedly more the sav bit than annah - but nickname wise I only like Sav or Savvy not rly Annah, Van, Vannah so can't use.

sibbys · 04/05/2020 09:52

I like Savannah but personally wouldn't choose it if I already had a Sienna. They're very close
