Clover

Is it a hard name to pull off ? Personally I can see a quieter, less strong-willed character carrying the name fine but wanted some second thoughts. We love it and Clo, Cloves etc, also think it's fine on an adult so looking more on how the name works in real life as opposed to general love hate comments on it

I love it. I knew a little girl with the name, and she was lovely, very kind and friendly with everyone.

Chirpychirpy3 · 01/05/2020 09:35

Makes me think of a cow. Sorry

BuffaloCauliflower · 01/05/2020 09:36

Love it. I don’t see a quieter person, I see someone quirky and interesting

Ihaveamind · 01/05/2020 09:36

What about Clodagh?
Gives you similar nicknames.

Marimari93 · 01/05/2020 09:40

Nice, gentle nature massage. Makes me think of Bambi. Definitely seen it on mumsnet a lot lately along with names like Ottilie / Elodie / Margot so I imagine Clover will bump of the popularity stats quite a bit by 2021

Marimari93 · 01/05/2020 09:41

Name not massage jesus sorry 😂😑

chickenninja · 01/05/2020 09:48

I love it and I actually asked MN about this name years ago but I got some really negative feedback which put me off! Honestly people were so mean saying it's a cow name etc

timetest · 01/05/2020 09:51

It’s a pretty name. I’ve never met a Clover.

Whatsyourflava · 01/05/2020 10:02

Love it. So desperate to use

BuffaloCauliflower · 01/05/2020 10:04

@Marimari93 I could really do with a nice gentle nature massage right now!

georgialondon · 01/05/2020 10:08

It makes me think of Clover spread. ButI always say if you love it then use it. Your baby and your choice! Smile

Lemonlady22 · 01/05/2020 10:08

It's a spread isn't it...well in the UK it is. It is lovely but that alone would put me off.

AppropriateAdult · 01/05/2020 10:11

For me the immediate association
is with the ‘What Katy Did’ books, so it’s a positive one.

Nquartz · 01/05/2020 10:11

@Lemonlady22 made me think of butter/spread too. There's a song from the advert, but I can't quite remember it, something about clover all over, not sure if it is still advertised like that though

emmathedilemma · 01/05/2020 10:12

I like it, I think it suits a range of personalities.

ApocalypseNowt · 01/05/2020 10:13

I do think of it as a cow name, sorry.

Dinosauraddict · 01/05/2020 10:18

Sorry but it reminds me of two things a) a cow and b) the butter/spread. I've never met a human Clover.

babynamelover · 01/05/2020 10:19

Fits with the whole Olive, Hazel, Ivy vibe 😊

Iwalkinmyclothing · 01/05/2020 10:23

Makes me think of the Katy books, and the Clover in those was lovely :)

sanityisamyth · 01/05/2020 10:24

It's a margarine

Peachbubble · 01/05/2020 10:47

I like it. I see it as a gentle, kind name too.

samandpoppysmummy · 01/05/2020 10:48

It makes me think of the Katy books too :)

GreyGardens88 · 01/05/2020 10:49

Not a fan

PeskyRooks · 01/05/2020 10:50

It's my dd1s middle name so I love it & so does she!

ofwarren · 01/05/2020 10:53
