Just after thoughts and advice,... we have a son called William and thinking of calling our second son Edward.... what do people think? Good choice? Do they go well together?

My friend has two boys with these names and they are lovely Grin if that helps!

Zogsbigsister · 30/04/2020 08:41

Really nice

AuntieStella · 30/04/2020 08:43

Lovely!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 30/04/2020 08:47

Excellent combination. Both timeless classic names.

clairedunphy · 30/04/2020 08:56

Yes, I have a William and if DC2 had been a boy he would have been Edward. They can be Will and Ed which I think are both lovely nicknames too.

Emthebaker · 30/04/2020 08:57

Both great names.

Twisique · 30/04/2020 09:44

Perfect!

stophuggingme · 30/04/2020 09:48

They are both lovely names and sound great together.
Great choice

Whatsyourflava · 30/04/2020 09:50

Ahh gorgeous names

emmathedilemma · 30/04/2020 10:17

I like them both but together they're a bit too "royal" for me.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 30/04/2020 10:25

I think more of The Archers (Grundy brothers) but I'm obsessed! Grin

Mommypower · 30/04/2020 20:46

Thanks for the advice/thoughts really helpful.

I think they're lovely. As long as you don't mind Bill and Ted - which would be fine!

SheliaHammondDiet · 30/04/2020 20:57

I like both names but did think of Bill & Ted’s excellent adventure. But I don’t think many people will.

87Callista · 30/04/2020 20:59

Yep, they go together just fins. Nice combo

Pudding01 · 30/04/2020 21:26

Do it

Mommypower · 30/04/2020 22:31

@SheliaHammondDiet @Whiskas1Kittens yeah Bill & Ted would be one of my concerns - especially as there’s a new film of it coming out this August - don’t want them to be bullied because of my choices

I see Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g beat me too it.

How about Benjamin?

MikeUniformMike · 01/05/2020 09:22

to not too.

William and Edward are fine. Will and Ed.

Mommypower · 01/05/2020 10:15

@ MikeUniformMike we like Benjamin but couldn’t have it as our children would be “Bill & Ben” lol.

Lovely!

Whiskas1Kittens · 01/05/2020 10:44

Most people won't mention Bill and Ted. Only older people know alternatives of names.

MikeUniformMike · 01/05/2020 11:54

Well spotted. I know of a family where they wanted to DC2 Benjamin, but vetoed it for that reason. They called him Edward.
