Theodora or Francessa

Wondering what you guys think about these two names? Feel free to add names also. I need names for the baby i am expecting!

Theodora is fabulous, as is Francesca. Two winners in my book!

I don't like Theodora at all.

Theo is the male version. Female shorty wing would be Thea. Love them both I'd have to toss a coin to decide.

I much prefer Thea Or Dora to Fran or Cesca, so on that basis, Theodora!

I don't like either of those shortenings but Frankie is fab

Francesca is fine, Fran is fine - not keen on Frankie, and Chess is a No from me.

Frank/Frankie is getting popular for boys and Theo is overused.

Theo is the male version... only if you're Spanish or a feminine/masculine based language. If you want to shorten it to Theo or Thea you can. It's choice but it's not based on anything else.

I don't like Theodora.

Francesca (assuming you mean Francesca and not Francessa) is beautiful.

If you like longer, elegant names ending in A then you might also consider Alexandra.

I personally know a few ‘Frankie's’ boys and girls in my area born in the last 3 years. I’m also not a fan of the nickname ‘Fran’.. don’t want to offend anyone it’s just my opinion.

Never liked Theodora, even before it was popular. Francesca is beautiful though.

I know an adult female Theo who I think is Theodora in full. She gets a lot of post and email addressed to 'Mr X' and people are a bit surprised when they realise she is female but it doesn't seem to bother her.

I like both 😊. Francesca is my youngest daughters middle after my Grandad Frank.
They both offer lots of nickname options.
I think I like Theodora slightly more as a first name 😊.

I know two best friends with these names! That doesn’t help sorry. I prefer Francesca.

I prefer Theodora. Francesca is nice but Theodora is more classy and timeless imo.

No to Francesca i know a little girl with the name they all call her Franny at school her mum hates it. When she goes to high school she knows what they will rhyme with it .
