DS is called Huxley.

Will be having another boy.

No name I think of 'matches' his name

I'm open to most names (modern/traditional etc)

Thanks for the suggestions!

I do like Benedict so reassuring that Ben has been suggested.

Also keep leaning towards Xavier as mentioned, but worried I'll be seen as the one who has 2 children with peculiar names!

For what it's worth, our surname is very 'boring' and normal so can get away with slightly different first names

Don’t worry about what others think!
If you like Xavier go for it! Xavi is cute as a nn.

BaronessBomburst · 27/04/2020 12:40

Xavier and Huxley go really well together!
And neither are peculiar. Uncommon maybe, but not peculiar. Grin

I don’t think Xavier is peculiar! There’s a Xavvy in my son’s class, short for Xavier I assume, and I know one or two others.

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 27/04/2020 14:12

Walter.

Walt and Hux.

Thanks so much for all the brilliant suggestions.

Some I've thought of previously (Kit, Barnaby, Rafferty, Casper) and I think actually seeing someone else suggest them has made me realise I'm quite keen on these names.

Shot myself in the foot by picking a less common name.

If only it were a girl because obviously we've got 100s of girls names we like!

KnobwithaK · 27/04/2020 18:40

How would you pronounce Xavier? That would be my main concern (I would say Have- ee-ay but lots of people say it differently..)

vodkaicepops · 27/04/2020 18:41
