How do you pronounce Elena?

1 or 3. Like the Disney Princess

Either in the Russian style (know a couple of Russian Elenas, so with Yel-AY-na) or ELL-enna (friend at school was called Elena pronounced that way).

But I've heard all of the ways you mention, so any of them - you just decide which way you want to pronounce it and stick with it.

3 or 4. I'd pronounce Eleanor as Ellen-Or as well.

I know two, one provinces it like your 1., one pronounces it like Eleanor.

(I also know an Eleanor who pronounces her name like Elinor)

My niece is an Elena and we pronounce it as number four. My mom is adamant it should be pronounced number one though.

Don't get the distinction between 1 and 3, bit like that!

I know of it being pronounced like Elaina but i would read it and say Ellen-a. Elena would be a strong possibility for us too as hate the sound of Eleanor

I would pronounce it as 4/5 unless the person insisted on 1/3
