Hey everyone! Hope you're all staying safe and well.

We're not pregnant at the moment but we're constantly talking about baby names and I've fallen in love with Marlie for a little girl. She would be Marlie Joy Ball but there's something about the name that doesn't quite feel right, could you lovely lot please suggest another middle name to go before or after Joy?

Thanks so much!Smile

It's a lovely name, however I'd choose a name to come after Joy rather than before it. Joy Ball sounds a little like a pet toy as it is, which is probably why it doesn't sound right to you x

Marlie Joy Eliza Ball
Marlie Joy Alexis Ball
Marlie Joy Pandora Ball
Marlie Joy Savannah Ball

Marlie sounds more like the name of a dog than a person tbh. Maybe get a puppy rather than have a baby. You won't have to worry about middle names then.

Ugh there’s always one that says it’s a dog name... as if there aren’t loads of kids and dogs running around with the name Poppy, Milo etc.

I looove Marlie (prefer Marley though) however I loathe Marls as a nn

How about Marlie Kaya/Kaia?

Or Marlie Cleo?

I agree with a poster above, it's the "Joy Ball" part of the name that sounds wrong. I would choose another name to go after Joy.
