MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 20/04/2020 22:29

Are you there boys virtue names?

StillWeRise · 20/04/2020 22:32

Prudence

TheLette · 20/04/2020 22:34

Not sure if it counts as a virtue name but I like the name Joy.

Etcni · 20/04/2020 22:39

Fidel would be an example of one that's literally a virtue name. Or lots of Biblical male names have virtuous meanings, like Emmanuel and Ezekiel. Then there's names that have virtuous connotations, eg Columba/Calum/Colm literally meaning dove but associated obviously with peace.

JustOneSquareofDarkChocolate · 20/04/2020 22:41

Comfort

DramaAlpaca · 20/04/2020 22:41

It's been mentioned already but I just adore Constance.

Ribwort · 20/04/2020 22:42

Chastity, Charity, Patience, Temperance, Mercy.

WendyDarling888 · 20/04/2020 22:42

Adore these sorts of names OP. Don't have any to add but am joining the thread as I am very interested.

MadameJosephine · 20/04/2020 22:43

@MrsRobinsonsHandprints I have a Ghanaian friend named Courage which I’ve always thought was a fantastic name

RickOShay · 20/04/2020 22:44

Honor. One of the loveliest names.

Batfinklestein · 20/04/2020 22:46

Fidelis, Blythe or Clemency.

ErrolTheDragon · 20/04/2020 22:50

A bit OT but I'm curious, why is it always (afaik) spelled the American was Honor as a name instead of Honour?

Chastity seems like an awful name to give a child. Irrelevant when they're little, maybe embarrassing as a teen.

Miriel · 20/04/2020 23:07

Liberty
Serenity
Prudence
Amity
Mercy

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 20/04/2020 23:14

I love Temperance. Also Constance, Verity and Faith.

Orphlids · 20/04/2020 23:15

@ErrolTheDragon and most likely inaccurate when they’re an adult! Wink

bridgetreilly · 20/04/2020 23:37

Joy

bxua · 20/04/2020 23:50

SJ Strum has just posted a video on these types of names on her YouTube !

janetmendoza · 21/04/2020 00:18
