I just want to see if anybody has input on our baby names! We’re waiting to see if it’s a boy or girl so some names are on both the boy and girl list, please help us! (Yes we also do like gender neutral or boys for girls names that’s our style please don’t go off on us saying our child will get mixed up for a boy if it’s a girl)

Girls:
Stella Kate
Isla Joy
Emerson Rae
Reese Ella
Bodhi Grace
Oakley Rose
Rosalie Sky
Rory Grace
Rylee Kate
Blake Lindsay
Carter Grace
(There’s much more girls than boys)
Boys:
Bodhi John
Dallas Matthew
Emerson Ray
Adrian Bodhi
Parker Kade
Brooks Michael
Jameson Ray
Reilly John
Sawyer Ford

Thank you!! We’re kind of set on our names but we’re looking to see what other people like the best! ❤️

Of your boys list I only really like Emerson. Not wild about Ray/Rae as a girl's second name as there are so many of them about at every single baby group these days

YukoandHiro · 16/04/2020 04:20

Isla and Rosalie are lovely names.

Are you in the US? I'm guessing you are given you've posted in the middle of the night here! A lot of the names on your girls' list would be considered boys' names in the UK. Some of the names you are saying are unisex really aren't over here. Rory, Blake, Carter, Oakley, Emerson and Bodhi are most definitely boys' names.

I like Stella Kate & Isla Joy, but none of the rest.

There must be a US based site you can try names out on where you'll get a response more suited to your taste.

Astronica · 16/04/2020 04:43

My picks from your lists are Stella Kate and Jameson Ray. I like many unisex names too, just not these so much. I love Skye, Kate, Grace and Lindsay which you've used as middle names - I'd put these first. I like John, Matthew and Michael as firsts too. My least favourites are Rosalie and Dallas - sound kind of fussy to my ears.

Astronica · 16/04/2020 04:44

Just to add, I do like Rory Grace too.

DramaAlpaca · 16/04/2020 04:52

Erm, Rory isn't unisex Confused It's an Irish name the meaning of which is 'red king'. It doesn't work for a girl at all IMO, it's a strong boys' name.

Also, Lindsay is a Scottish male name. The female version is Lindsey. Or Lynsey if you must.

Corasue · 16/04/2020 05:10

Thank you but I did mention that that is our style to give unisex names. I gave that clarification in my original post and asked to leave out comments like that.

@dramaalpaca Rory can be a girls nn for Lorelei
Very famous starring character in the Gilmore Girls series. Though admittedly does have American connotations x

Peachbubble · 16/04/2020 06:17

I like Rosalie and Jameson best. Mixing up some of your suggestions, I'd go for:
Rosalie Grace or Rosalie Kate
Jameson Matthew

daisypond · 16/04/2020 07:36

Stella Kate is fabulous. Isla Joy and Rosalie Sky are nice. None of the others.
I’m not keen on your boys’ names, definitely not anything with Bodhi in, which borders on offensive or cultural appropriation. Adrian is fine, but I don’t like it. The others are surnames so seem a bit odd. Emerson, Jameson are OK, but James, etc, would be loads better.

Adelais · 16/04/2020 07:42

From your girls list I like Stella Kate and Rosalie Joy and for the boys I like Jameson Ray.

Whatsyourflava · 16/04/2020 07:46

I like Bodhi best

Whatsyourflava · 16/04/2020 07:46

For girls I like Isla and Blake
Blake is one of my top boys’ names

JoExotic · 16/04/2020 07:56

Stella Kate
Isla Joy
Emerson Rae
Rosalie Sky

Bodhi John
Parker (but not with Kade)
Jameson Ray
Reilly John
Sawyer Ford

Anon3742577 · 16/04/2020 09:04

I love Stella Kate - just has a great ring to it. Also like Rosalie although not to keen on Sky.

Of your boys' names my favourite is probably Jameson (although I might be influenced by my love for the whiskey.. on ice.. on a hot day.. ah ..Grin)

EyeShipMiceElf · 16/04/2020 09:12

You say you like unisex names but your boys names are very much boys names and only the girls names could potentially be used for both.
If you had Lindsay, Kelly, Sasha, Hilary, Stacy on your boys list I’d agree you liked unisex names.

I like Bodhi and Dallas from your boys names may be biased as I think Dallas Campbell is fit

Don’t love any of the girls names, Stella if I had to pick one.

DoctorBambino · 16/04/2020 10:38

Stella Kate - Not keen
Isla Joy - Ok
Emerson Rae - quite like it
Reese Ella - like it
Bodhi Grace - like it
Oakley Rose - its ok
Rosalie Sky - quite like it
Rory Grace - like Rory but not with Grace
Rylee Kate - like it
Blake Lindsay - nope
Carter Grace - no

Bodhi John - love Bodhi but not with John
Dallas Matthew - no
Emerson Ray - its ok
Adrian Bodhi - nope
Parker Kade - its ok
Brooks Michael - sounds like a surname
Jameson Ray - quite like it
Reilly John - quite like it
Sawyer Ford - nah

I'd go for Bodhi Grace for a girl and Bodhi Parker for a boy Smile

CaffiSaliMali · 16/04/2020 10:47

I really like Rosalie. It's unusual, but most people will have heard of it. Coralie is also nice, went to school with one.

I also like Isla and Stella.

My favourite from your boys list is Adrian, again it's unusual but most people will have heard of it.

123Dancewithme · 16/04/2020 10:55

They all sound very American. Are you in the US?

Stella Kate and Isla Joy are ok for girls. For boys Brooks Michael or Jameson Ray.

userabcname · 16/04/2020 11:00

I like Rosalie or Stella for a girl. I'm not too keen on the boy list - I'd say Parker is ok.

20viona · 16/04/2020 11:01

I like Oakley and Parker

sageandroses · 16/04/2020 11:56

I wouldn't say many of these are ACTUALLY unisex/gender neutral. They're just male names for a girl, which is different.

I like Rosalie, Isla, Reese, Adrian but none of the others. Stella is okay.
