We're set on this name but need a middle name (actually two, as DD has two and we like a family name and one other). Likely family names are Thomas, Jack, George. Any ideas...?

(It'll be Logan Familyname Othername Surname, or the family and other names swapped round). Surname is a fairly standard English type!

@Fudgewhizz

I think Logan is a gorg name
for the middle name what about Denzil?
or Patsy ,its really coming back into fashion.
or how about Oranje. My nephew is called Oranje (pronounced o-rarn-je) and i think its a beautiful name.
or you could always go for something inspired by the natural world like Clay or Moss?

Let me know what you decide and good luck Smile Grin Flowers

As a teacher it was really hard picking names as I associated them with children I'd met. In theory I love logan as a name, but id never choose it as every one we've had at school has been a little bugger.
Henry is a nice middle name.

GaaaaarlicBread · 16/04/2020 12:18

@Fudgewhizz my friend has a little Logan and he’s gorgeous, love that name!
His middle names are Logan Thomas Owen .
Other middle names could be Logan Stephen Paul, Logan George Thomas ?

Fudgewhizz · 16/04/2020 21:42

@DrMadelineMaxwell haha we have spent a combined 25 years as teachers and bizarrely neither of us has ever taught a Logan! Maybe it's a regional thing?!

Logan Finley?

Honeyroar · 16/04/2020 21:48

Six! In the film Logan’s Run they all had numbers after their name. Logan was Logan Six. (sorry, not helpful - you just sent me on a memory trip!)

Logan is a great name. I have to say there are quite a few where I am but that's ok.

I love the name Logan!

Stuart?

Vallmo47 · 17/04/2020 11:48

I second Logan Alexander. I think a ‘shorter’ first name goes really well with a longer middle name (or vice versa). You will have to let us know what you decide! 🥰

BasilDiffuser · 17/04/2020 11:49

Paul.

rosiepony · 17/04/2020 11:50

I love the name Logan, lovely solid boys name and not too popular.

Logan Henry Jack has a nice flow to it.

erised · 17/04/2020 16:21

For the love of god, don't use Paul as a middle name for Logan...

Logan William
Logan Samuel
Logan James
Logan Christopher
Logan Alexander

merryhouse · 17/04/2020 16:32

I sat here thinking "what on earth is wrong with Paul?" till I thought to google. A salutary lesson for anyone thinking up name combinations.

(I called my son Christopher Timothy, and spent the first three months of his life going "yes, I know...")

Jacob
Elam
Jeremy

Cbeebiesrehab · 17/04/2020 17:19

Just be aware Logan is currently 23 in the charts so it is popular-but as you said it’s probably regional. I know a lot here but if you don’t know any then that probably won’t bother you.
Logan Jack sounds good.
Logan Jack James
Logan George Jack
Logan Jackson George

userabcname · 17/04/2020 17:33

Logan Henry George

BoswellsBollocks · 17/04/2020 17:39

Logan is a gorgeous name.

Logan Alexander is lovely or...

Logan James
Logan Andrew

Fudgewhizz · 17/04/2020 23:12

Just ran Logan Samuel past DH and he said it sounded like a cowpat!?!?!?! Make of that what you will.... I thought it was nice!

Popularity not too much of an issue - as we've both taught hundreds of students it's hard enough to find names! I've not come across any round here. Also DD has a name that was in the top five for the year she was born and I've not even met any others her age yet!
