I had to share my story because it amused me.. so me and DP chatting about boys names..I suggested Jacob. DP sort of shrugged and ummed and ahhed. When I asked him his ideas, he said he liked Coby.. when I looked it up, it's a nickname for Jacob 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I guess it's meant to be 🤷🏼‍♀️ but do I go with Coby or see if I can get him to have Jacob as his official name with Coby as a nickname 🤔

Jacob official name I recon then he’s got 2 options, when he starts nursery, if you want his nn to be Coby then just put that on the form and the teachers will call him “Coby” and will put “Coby” on his Coat peg. Both names are lovely- if only it were this easy for most couples!! Well done!

No..no thread for that. I've searched girls names for weeks but can't find anything we really agree on. I like Ava, Esme, And Ada . I want something a bit different but there's no girls names I really love

I think if there is a full name version use that first because sometimes nicknames don't work when kids are older.
This way you get the best of both worlds and he has options when he's older.

For girls how about Sadie, Clemmie, Maggie, Marnie, Willa, Molly, Holly, Pearl, Eliza or Cleo @Tango500 - thought they have similar feel to the names you like

Well I really like Jacob but dislike Coby so I'd be tempted to go back to the drawing board as I wouldn't want it even as a nickname.
