Names for girl or boy

I hope you are all staying safe and are well.

My partner and I have decided to move forward trying to start our family to start this summer (was going to wait until after our wedding next year, but it looks like this will be knocked back to 2022 now due to this current situation as the venue only has weddings in the school hols on weekends in July and August and looks like the weddings this year will be knocked back to next year, knocking ours back.)

Anyway even though we are not trying right now, it is on the horizon and I'm so excited and have I've started thinking about names. Surname begins with M.

Was thinking

For a girl
Freya or Orla
And middle names out of: Wren/Fern/Clover/Juniper/Emilie/Lily

I think at the moment favourite is Freya Wren, but what do you guys think?

Or for a boy

Felix, Dillon, Fionn, Oliver
And middle names out of:
Oliver/Henri/Asher/Atlas

Think favourite is Felix Henri or Fionn Oliver.

Obviously I know our preferences may change and won't know the baby's name until they are born, but wanting to think about positive things at the moment for a bit.

Thanks.Smile

All lovely names.

PlantPotting · 03/04/2020 09:57

Yes I agree those names are all really lovely
Good luck

I love Freya, not sure about Wren though. Prefer the sound of Freya Lily. I also love Orla and Clover.

I don't like Fionn, Felix is ok... think I would go for Dillon Atlas.

Nice names but why all the weird spellings?

Alara91 · 03/04/2020 19:53

@PeppaisaBitch oh yeah might seem a bit odd with the spellings, but I'm welcome to spelling the more widely used UK ways too.

Henri and Emilie are the French versions, I am part french would potentially like to a bit of my background to their name.

Dillon or Dylan I wasn't sure on. Maybe Dylan is more widely used and would cause less confusion.

As a welsh name Dylan would be pronounced dull-an here, whereas Dillon would be dill-un (dill like pill)
I’d say definitely go with Oliver for one of the boys names as it appears twice, so must be a fave.
I like Freya Lily together
