Great names
I’d pick emma and Matthew

PlantPotting · 02/04/2020 10:33

James is a lovely name

emmathedilemma · 02/04/2020 11:10

ooh, any of them! Although I should probably throw in a vote for Emma!
I don't think there are many younger Sarahs and Rachels around, or Andrews. I know a few Matthews but they're in the 10-15 age group now. I think any of those work well with James, they're all good traditional names.

PlantPotting · 02/04/2020 11:20

Suggestion:

Peter
Christopher nn Kit
Barnaby
Eliza

MikeUniformMike · 02/04/2020 11:21

I like all of them too, with a slight preference for Emma and Matthew.

MikeUniformMike · 02/04/2020 11:24

Martin springs to mind for some reason, or Mark, Jonathan, Peter, Simon, David and Paul.

Such a refreshing change from all the other name threads.

Neednewwellies · 02/04/2020 11:27

Katherine (Beth or Kitty)
Elizabeth (lizzy)
Frances (Fran)
Josephine (if you’re happy with a double J)

Alex
Thomas
Blair
Christopher (Kit)
Stuart
Euan

My DS1 is James and his siblings are above.

Neednewwellies · 02/04/2020 11:29

Oh and I also considered Sylvie

Any of them sound great, but Rachel and Matthew are my particular favourites.

whichnamenow · 03/04/2020 07:23

Thank you all. Some of these suggestions are lovely.

Middle name for a girl will be Elizabeth. Middle name for a boy likely to be Eric.

My name is Katharine and my husbands is Jonathan so we won't use either of those.

I love the name Rachel

Cynara · 03/04/2020 16:37

DS is James, it's a lovely name! Also in the running were Alexander, Michael, Aidan and Aaron. If he'd been a girl he would have been Caroline, Alice or Helena.

Whatsyourflava · 03/04/2020 16:43

My favourites are Emma and Matthew too @whichnamenow - what does your partner not like about it?
