I like Devyn but i like longer names.
So could you recommend me some names that include 'd' and 'v'?

I'd prefer Devin or Devon, but otherwise:
Davina
Devereaux
Deluvina
Vidalia

I love it!

CocoLoco87 · 23/03/2020 07:04

I know it doesn't have a v in but I quite like Dominique / Dominika as a longer D name. I do like Devyn too.

Graft · 23/03/2020 07:07

Divine.
Just hope she doesn't grow up to look like him.

beingarayofsun · 23/03/2020 08:05

In Welsh the yn is usually the male and the en the female. So would prefer Devon as Devyn seems masculine. Do you like the area ?

DoctorBambino · 23/03/2020 08:33

Davina, Daviana, Devinee, Devika, Devine, Devonna, Devontae, Diva, Dervla,

Devyn looks like a boy's name - it looks a bit like a yooneek Devon.

Dove? Devonia?

There is a welsh girl's (or boy's) name that is rarely used - Dyfyr.
It is pronounced - DOVE-irr (Dove like the bird and irr like in irregular)

  1. An Arthurian warrior who was the son of Alun of Dyfed.
Dyfyr was an advisor to Arthur and a companion to Geraint.
  1. Dyfyr Golden Hair
One of the "three splendid maidens of Arthur’s court", according to a Welsh Triad.

“Dervla” is actually spelled Dearbhla - the V sound is there but no actual V in it.

I like Evadne (eh-VAD-nee or ee-VAD-nee). Legit Greek girls' name, albeit Latinised.
