Hi,

What do you think if Lily Belle for first and middle name please?
Does it sound too cutesy? I love it for its cuteness but then most of the time she would just be Lily.

Or Lily Alice is the alternative we also love

Lily Alice for me, but then I adore the name Alice. For me "belle" is just edging out of cutesy and into twee, and the 2 names run together when you say them which makes it sound double barreled. Lily Alice sounds more like 2 stand alone names.

Wolfiefan · 15/03/2020 18:17

Not Belle. Very cutesy. Disney princess.

redwoodmazza · 15/03/2020 18:21

Too many 'L's in Lily Alice, for me.
Lily Belle sounds like Lilibet - what the Queen used to be known as. Was it Margaret that couldn't pronounce Elizabeth?

MikeUniformMike · 15/03/2020 18:25

Lily Belle is too twee. Lily Alice is a bit too vowel and L heavy.

MsTSwift · 15/03/2020 18:42

It’s ok but be aware there are lots of Lily’s is abit overused

QuintusEstInHorto · 15/03/2020 19:06

Lily Belle sounds like a boat in Tennessee. "All aboard the Lily Belle!"

Lily Alice is much nicer.

SomeoneElseEntirelyNow · 15/03/2020 19:09

Lilybel is what my parents used to call me when i was very little. My middle name is an unusal family one, goes very well but isnt very common. Lily Belle is to me one of those Daisy-May names that always make me think the parents have forgotten that their kid will one day be 55.

Whatsyourflava · 15/03/2020 19:49

Lily Alice is GORGEOUS ! Don’t hyphen though

123Dancewithme · 15/03/2020 21:16

Lily Alice is much nicer.

AcrobaticCardigan · 15/03/2020 21:31

Big yes for Lily Alice!!!! Sounds wonderful and very cool... I love it! Lily Belle a major no. Horrendously cutesy.

DramaAlpaca · 15/03/2020 21:32

I like Lily Alice very much. Lily Belle is just a bit too sweet and cute.

clpsmum · 15/03/2020 21:40

I love it 😍

HopeClearwater · 15/03/2020 21:43

Sounds like a pleasure cruiser on Lake Windermere. Sorry.

Astronica · 15/03/2020 22:45

Lily Alice is lovely, much better than Lily Belle.

pilates · 16/03/2020 03:47

Too cutesy
Lily Alice is better

Pippinsqueak · 16/03/2020 03:53

Lily belle sounds like lulabelle

Contrabassoon · 16/03/2020 06:36

Lily Belle is twee. Lily Alice better.

HarrietTheShy · 16/03/2020 06:48

In case it matters, a lot of Disney buffs have used this name combo as Walt's wife was called Lillian and he named the train at Disneyland Lilly Belle after her.

Lily Alice is lovely. Smile

joffreyscoffees · 16/03/2020 06:51

I think one of the ferries at Disney's magic kingdom might be called Lily Belle. As someone else has said, sounds very southern state to me. Although I'm not keen on Lily/Lilly at all. Alice is a much nicer name, would have liked to call DD it.

LadyGAgain · 16/03/2020 07:07

Lily Grace?

Clangus00 · 16/03/2020 07:14

Alice, but as it’s a middle name it won’t matter. No one knows people’s middle names & they’re only ever on paperwork, so use what you want.

FenellaMaxwell · 16/03/2020 07:58

It sounds like the perfect name for a chihuahua in a diamanté hoodie. For a child, not so much.

Bezalelle · 16/03/2020 08:10

Lily Alice, by a country mile!

Electrical · 17/03/2020 16:22

Absolutely appalling.
Plus Lily was used tonnes in the past decade, she’d be one of many Lilies at her future workplace. Lily Grace just = ‘we couldn’t be bothered to even try’. Two generic filler names, together.
