Boys names

OH and I are pulling our hair out over boys names. We don't want anything in the top 20, but are open to a wide range of suggestions. Our shortlist consists of

Ezra
Flynn
Austin
Arlo
Max
Jude

But nothing striking us as the "one" yet. Which boys names are on your list? Can you suggest any we might like? Middle name will be James.

Thank you Smile

My ds2 is Wilfred.. He's in his 20s now. The year he was born there were only 14. Its about 120 in the name popularity list now. He's named after Wilfred Owen and is very proud of the fact.
The other name we were thinking of was Thaddeus. Quite glad we didn't now because when I hear the name I think of Celia Imrie with pink hair in Nanny Mcphee... 😁 😁

There’s another thread where someone is asking for similar names to Arlo.

I'd avoid Arlo if you don't want top 20, that's risen hugely over the past couple of years.

My shortlist was

Spencer
Guy
Joel
Atlas (DP would never have allowed this!)
Douglas
Hector

Your list is mainly trendy names that will date quickly. I like Max.
I know 2 Austins. One lovely and the other not so nice.

I suggested quite retro names just to broaden the list, but I particularly like Dennis and Raymond. Patrick is another one I like.

One of my DC is Jude, great name!

I like all of your list, Ezra was on ours but it was a bit of a wild card! Arlo is very popular now.

Isthistrueor · 18/03/2020 15:14

Jude is cool, it’s my DS’s name but Jude James doesn’t fit well at all.

I like Ezra.
