Caleb
Kaleb looks like you can't spell.
It's ok, if you like it, use it.

clpsmum · 13/03/2020 13:14

Caleb. Kaleb not as nice and has a whiff of reality tv about it. Great name though

Tifsy · 13/03/2020 13:15

Do you know many also please? x

Caleb is nicer. Lovely name x

daffodilrosedaisy · 13/03/2020 13:16

And only know of 1 quite uncommon I think

umberellaonesie · 13/03/2020 13:17

Caleb, i know one in each age group so an adult, a teen, a primary agr and a toddlerbut none in the same school year

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 13/03/2020 13:25

Caleb. For the most part, K names are ugly, with a few exceptions like Katherine and Kate.

MikeUniformMike · 13/03/2020 14:21

OP, you could always spell it K-leb.

Look up the name origin and meaning, some famous people or fictional characters with the name.

Nonnymum · 13/03/2020 14:27

I think Caleb is the traditional spelling, that's the one I prefer, it just looks better somehow.

Aquamarine1029 · 13/03/2020 14:31

Neither. Really don't like the name.

OhMsBeliever · 13/03/2020 14:44

Caleb.

I know one, he's great. Grin (I have to say that, as his mum)

I know a few others too, younger than mine. It's a cool name.

Spied · 13/03/2020 14:47

Caleb.
Kaleb just looks wrong somehow to me.

Ninkanink · 13/03/2020 14:47

Caleb, definitely. Otherwise people will think you can’t spell, and you’ll also be ruining a perfectly good name.

Ninkanink · 13/03/2020 14:47

It looks wrong because it is wrong.

Whatsyourflava · 13/03/2020 14:49

Caleb xx great name

DoctorBambino · 13/03/2020 15:00

Caleb, I know of one. It always sounds odd to me I think because of the eb ending bit its nice enough

Tifsy · 13/03/2020 15:07

Thanks everyone, with a C it is! x

I know of couple (friends nephews type of “know”) but none personally. I think it was maybe more popular 10 years ago or so.

MikeUniformMike · 13/03/2020 16:52

There was/is a rock star who uses the name as his first name (I think it isn't his real first name and that it was someone like Kings of Leon or that era) and that boosted it's popularity.
I like the name and had planned to use it, or Calb, for a DDog, but some have grouped if with the Kayden type names and it is seen as slightly downmarket.

Thefaceofboe · 13/03/2020 17:36

Love Caleb and would be on my list. I don’t know any in RL and work with children, never come across one!

PlantPotting · 13/03/2020 17:37

Good decision @Tifsy

Caleb is definitely better

Double3xposure · 13/03/2020 17:40

Caleb

Mooncake2020 · 13/03/2020 20:24

Is it actually seen as "downmarket" as Mikeuniformmike says? It's currently rank 50 in the name charts, seems quite far out for it to be seen like that? This is my first, so i don't know much about names x

OneMoreForExtra · 13/03/2020 20:47

Kebab

Would always have to pause before saying the name to mentally reset from Kebab to Caleb. Once thought it's hard to unthink

Ninkanink · 13/03/2020 20:48

No I don’t believe it’s ‘downmarket’ - it’s a biblical name.
