So boys names are an eternal struggle.

So far we like

Ezra
Caleb
Isaac

He likes
Anthony & Connor and potentially Nathan too.

Do you like any of these or can you suggest any we might like based on these? Thanks

FixItUpChappie · 07/03/2020 19:06

Ezra is a great name

OneKeyAtATime · 07/03/2020 19:14

I like Ezra and Isaac. Not keen in the others

Whatsyourflava · 07/03/2020 19:39

You have a great list of names!!!

Absolutely LOVE Ezra, Caleb and Isaac

Anthony & Connor and Nathan are all great too and I love the nickname Nate. Least favourite of your choices is Anthony. Favourites are Ezra Caleb Isaac Connor and Nathan

I like Isaac and Caleb from your lists.

ScouseMar · 08/03/2020 02:41

Love all your names especially Ezra!

Don't like your husbands choices I'm afraid but I do really like Nate (not Nathan!)

pilates · 08/03/2020 02:44

Not keen on your husband’s names except Nathan, but yours are perfectly fine

BasiliskStare · 08/03/2020 03:01

A very dear person to me was named Nathan after Nathan Detroit in Guys & Dolls. Ha ha - ( 2nd name not Detroit ) - but would not necessarily use musicals as a way of naming children otherwise.

I like Christopher / Kit for short - but nn s are so hard - they develop I think not just imposed

daisypond · 08/03/2020 06:38

I much prefer your DH’s names, especially Anthony, which is great. Ezra, Caleb and Isaac are very OT faddy and will date/already have dated.
Christopher -Kit
Jonathan
Benjamin
Matthew
John
Gabriel
Miles
Jude

Firecracker2019 · 08/03/2020 07:03

I don't like any of your husband's choices sorry...They are very dated.
Anthony will become Ant or Tony, neither of which are any better than Anthony. Nathan (Nat or Nate or Nath) the same. Connor I really don't like, unless perhaps you live in Ireland.

I like Ezra and Isaac, Caleb less so.
I prefer Isaac of the three.

What about Zachary, Ethan, Reuben, Tobias, Elijah or Seth?

Or if you prefer more vanilla and traditional, Michael, James, William, Thomas or Edward which are all nice in their own right and classic and the last three shorten nicely too?

Firecracker2019 · 08/03/2020 07:04

I like Benjamin as someone posted upthread too.

daisypond · 08/03/2020 07:10

It’s weird, isn’t it? I think Ezra, Caleb, etc are dated. They’re a style of name that’s been in fashion for well over 20 years and are tired now. People I know with those names are in their mid 20s. Anthony etc is a refreshing change from all those Old Testament names. New Testament names are becoming more current.

Daffie19 · 08/03/2020 10:06

We have an Isaac. I love it!
