What do you think of these names please?

I think we are set on our girls name but boys name really struggling with, so far on our list we have:

Otto
Bertie
Casper
William

What are people's thoughts on them? And any similar ones we might quite like?

I really like Casper and William.
Bertie is okay but prefer it short for Albert, Bertram, Gilbert etc
Not keen on Otto.

Otis
Rafe
Jasper

I do like them all, very much.

I must confess that I'd probably only be brave enough to use the first three as dogs names.

Otto is my fav, followed by Bertie. But as others have suggested, prefer Bertie as a nn for Albert, Bertram, Gilbert or the likes.

Otto - posh lad
Bertie -hipster lad
Casper - ghost lad
William - nice

Love Casper and Otto. Don't like William, I find it so dull. Bertie is sweet but would prefer the full name Albert on bc so he has a choice at job interviews etc. Bertie doesn't really seem like a sensible name for sensible situations to me. Also like Albie.

Thank you so much everyone for the feedback so far, so funny how different we all are 🙊but would be boring if we all liked the same things! I have German connections with Otto and unfortunately really don't like Albert/Robert. Thanks again

I like Otto and Casper. William is quite timeless, it’s been a top name for hundreds of years. Bertie is ok as a diminutive of Albert but otherwise no.

I like them all but love Otto and William, Otto to be abit different and William to be classic

I know 2 really cool teens called Bertie so I like the name.

I know so many Williams I genuinely can’t keep track of them all. I’d scrub that if I were you.

I like Caspar. I think it’s strong and quite cool. Bertie is twee. Not keen on Otto.

William is perfectly fine, a nice inoffensive name. It’s a bit popular for me, but I do like it. Casper and Otto are both much more to my taste!

I don’t like Bertie though, sorry. It’s a bit ‘twee’ to be a name on its own (in my opinion) and I don’t like anything that it’s short for.
