Theia reads more like Thy-a, Thay-a or Thigh-a.

I would assume that because it was spelt differently, Theia was meant to be pronounced Thaya.

Definitely Thea, lovely name.

I’d presume Theia would be pronounced th-ee-aye-ah or if the ‘ei’ were pronounced as it is in ‘neigh’ that would make it ‘they-ah’. The ‘i before e except after c’ grammar rule does have a few exceptions (very few) but when you do see a word in English with ‘ei’ it generally has a long ‘a’ sound (like neigh, vein or weight).

Presuming you are in the UK - It’ll lead to a lifetime of her having to spell it out to people, tell them where rhe random ‘i’ sits (& them thinking but ‘that’s not how you spell Thea!’).

If you are however in living Greece or Greek then ignore all that!
