Twin with Thomas

My husband and I are expecting twins in late July- One boy and one girl. The boys name will be Thomas as it is a family name. (My uncle, granddad and cousins). We are unsure what to name our daughter, I like Sapphire and Frances (Frankie as a nickname). Any suggestions?

Sapphire sounds like a pornstar name to me. Francesca/Frankie is fine, though I prefer Chessie as nn.

Sorry I put this name on every name thread (for a girl), but nobody has used it yet. 😞

Honestly I'm not a fan of either. Sapphire too "out there" when paired with Thomas - though would make a fantastic middle name. And Frances just doesn't sit well with Thomas for me, maybe it's the similar second syllable in each name.

What about Francesca with the nn Frankie?

I always think it’s nice to use similar letters for twin / sibling names.. makes a nice pair without being too matchy. Good luck!

Aw, I like Sapphire! And the names don't really have to "match", the twins will be people with their own lives as well as they grow up.

I don’t think your girls names are of the same genre as Thomas. It’s a classic, timeless name and Sapphire definitely isn’t! I think Thomas goes with the elizabeth, Sophie, Emma, Emily, Isobel type names.
