Don't shorten her name to Florrie or Flossie though, will make her sound like a Victorian maid servant.

Well she won't be the only one, as lots of the most popular names of the last 20 years fit that description - Tilly, Evie, Maisie etc..

Lovely name.

I like it! Also think Emerald Green would be amazing but I suppose she might not!

Cindie943811A · 07/02/2020 12:38

I’d use Flora as a nn.

FizzyGreenWater · 07/02/2020 14:06

Yes, fine - lovely choice!

Theresa has got to be in the running.

I think Florence Green sounds fine.

Theresa has got to be in the running.

For a moment I thought 'didn't see qnyone mention Theresa' then I realised Grin. A friend of mine's surname was Hedge and her DH spent her first pregnancy suggesting unsuitable names like 'Rose'.

Florence Green is fab. Was my late DGMs name. Florrie for short. I love Flossie/Floss too.

My grandmother was Florence Ann . It's the best name from your choice.

TulipCat · 08/02/2020 15:32

Florence is lovely, don't go for Teresa Olive though Grin

I adore Florence Green but a nickname would be inevitable!
