Hi all, my DH and I have finally agreed on two names for a girl Fallon Thea and for a boy Toryn (tor-in) James. I like names that are a bit different. I love Winnie, xari and Eden but he’s not having any of it 🙄. Does anyone have any other ideas please?

I love Torin, Tor is such a great shortening.

Not keen at all on Fallon.

Not sure I can think of anything along those lines!

Not keen on Fallon, but I like Thea and Toryn James.

Toryn James is good - I'd prefer Torin for a boy, but not much difference. Tor is a nice casual nickname.

I like Thea - I have both Althea and Anthea on my crazy unedited list of possible names, but just Thea is fine too. Fallon I am not so crazy about - it makes me think of the character on Dynasty. I'd actually consider Toryn/Torin as a girls' name (nn Tori?) - unless you want to save it for a future boy if you have a girl this time.

If you want a name ending in -n for a girl: Arden, Afton, Eden, Elin, Erin, Farran, Gillian, Helen, Karin, Kirsten, Kristin, Lauren, Linden, Meghan, Morgan, Robin/Robyn, Seren, Sian, Teagan, Vivian?

I like Torin, it's rare, but easy to pronounce. I much prefer it spelt with an i. Adding random letter y's in place of an i always looks a bit odd and I suppose dated to me. Plus he'll be "Toryn with a y" for the rest of his life whenever he has to give his name, instead of just "Torin".

Not keen on Fallon, because in my head it just looks like the words "fall on".

Agree with everyone else that:

Torin is great, prefer this spelling, I think it's more classic and more masculine. Really like it.

Fallon for a girl is pretty horrible. Thea is nice. Fallon makes me think of felon and fellatio - sorry! It's just not very pleasant sounding. So many lovely unusual girls names out there to choose from.

I love Fallon but I wouldn't put Thea with it. It's too much of a tongue twister.
I don't like Torin but Torin James go nicely.

If you've agreed, why do you need more ideas? There's no need to confuse the issue or keep looking.

Fallon was a character on Dynasty.
