Middle name for Adia

My DH and I have, I think, agreed on Adia (ay-de-uh) for our next DD. We are thinking Adia Rose, or Adia May. Any other suggestions! I think it needs to be 1, or 2 syllables at most. Surname starts with C (like cat) and is 3 syllables.
Thanks! Smile

Second the observation that Rose and May as middle names are ten a penny at the moment. Virtually every child! Grace similarly popular.

Rae is naff.

Something classic would be nice to counterbalance Adia.

Rose and May are nice, Adia isn't.

Shopkinsdoll · 22/01/2020 18:38

Adia? That’s not nice

MikeUniformMike · 22/01/2020 18:59

Not keen on Adia sorry. I would think it was pronounced Ad-ee-a and it looks like a quirky corporate brand. I am of an age group where some of my friends are called Ade or Adey (Aaaaay-Dree-un!). I don't like Ada either.

Rose and May, and Grace are pretty middle names but overused. Rae is a scottish surname and looks a bit downmarket as a middle name.

Adia Anne will be Adia Ran.

I opened this thinking the title was a typo and that this would be a thread about the name Asia or Ada. Is Adia a name?! I’m not sure I like it ... it sounds made up and doesn’t flow well as a name. Looking at it, I’d also pronounce it Ad-ee-uh like a PP, which is another issue. Do you not like Ada? I think it’s nicer.

Thanks all, some nice suggestions.
I didn’t ask for opinions on the name Adia. It’s not a made up name and it means gift. We can’t all like the same names, can we?!
