Sasha or Cleo?

Completely hypothetical as I’m not pregnant yet (I hope that’s okay).

One is my first choice, the other is DH’s Smile

Sasha is a beautiful name

Whatsyourflava · 20/01/2020 23:05

I vote Cleo

Lavenderblues · 20/01/2020 23:08

Sasha is a boys name imo.

Lavenderblues · 20/01/2020 23:09

I vote Cleo(patra)

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 20/01/2020 23:09

Sasha. I wish I had used it but it felt too daring at the time. All the Sasha's I have known were girls.

MrsBertBibby · 20/01/2020 23:10

Sasha

Idontkowmyname · 20/01/2020 23:17

Not a fan of either sorry

Kiaa · 21/01/2020 01:08

Cleo

Astronica · 21/01/2020 01:10

I love both (and think they would make good siblings!) Cleo is my first choice.

DramaAlpaca · 21/01/2020 01:11

Cleo. Fab name.

To me, Sasha is a Russian boys' name, a diminutive of Alexander.

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 21/01/2020 02:20

Cleo

Lavenderblues · 21/01/2020 07:01

Sasha is a boys name in most east European countries as well as in Germany (spelled Sascha) and France (spelled Sacha).

Grufallosfriends · 21/01/2020 07:07

I don't like either. Sasha is a boys name to me.

But would choose Cleo if I had to. Although it sounds like a car model.

Happymum12345 · 21/01/2020 07:19

Cleo

Omashu · 21/01/2020 07:31

Oh god I love them both so much!!!! Literally 50/50. Cleo Sasha and Sasha Cleo both sound lovely too ❤️❤️❤️

CakeRattleandRoll · 21/01/2020 07:47

Sasha

mytypeonpaper · 21/01/2020 08:00

Cleo!

Poppydaisies · 21/01/2020 08:14

Is Cleo short for Cleopatra?

Sasha is a male name in many parts of the world.

Poppydaisies · 21/01/2020 08:15

But Cleo alone reminds me of a French car 🚗.

GrayTT · 21/01/2020 09:20

Cleo wouldn’t be short for anything. I don’t like Cleopatra and I already have 2 DC with short, 2 syllable names so Cleopatra really wouldn’t fit with those.

Cleo or how about Saskia. Do you like that. It's similar sounding to Sasha but far prettier and gentle

Lebkuchenlovers · 21/01/2020 11:47

I like the suggestion of Saskia. More feminine.

Cleo reminds of the Renault Clio.

Poorolddaddypig · 22/01/2020 19:19

Sasha and Cleo are both lovely and I agree they’d be perfect as sibling names. Cleopatra is just an insane name though, glad you’re not going for that and surprised a PP suggested it!

DappledThings · 22/01/2020 21:19

I think of Sasha as a boy's name too. Wouldn't use it for a girl.
