Struggling with boys name....help

Me and DH can't decide on name for our soon to be born DS. We have a Sylvie already. I like names that are slightly unusual.
I like Douglas, Idris and Daniel.
DH likes Ewan, Benjamin, Alexander.
Any suggestions that we both might like?

Thanks everyone. Some good suggestions here. I'm loving the love for Douglas. Need to work on DH.

Ha we currently call our bump Idris because it’s an old welsh name and my DH is welsh. He said it once and it stuck. It’s starting to make a come back!!

MikeUniformMike · 18/01/2020 19:11

I don't think it ever went away, but was not used much. It is probably much more popular now. I can think of names I like more, but it is easy to spell and pronounce, and is also a Moroccan name.

Currently popular names are more 'out there' than when I was young - It was all Dylan, Gareth, Aled, Sian, Carys, Bethan and similar then.

Sylvie is lovely.

I think Idris would be a great name for her brother. Or how about Angus, Dominic or Quentin?

Love Douglas and Idris.

lizardorchid · 19/01/2020 21:56

We live in Wales so Idris is not quite so associated with Idris Elba here but still not common. I like Angus too but DH vetoed that one. Love Nathaniel.
