Seamus- yay or nay?

Will be a brother to Charles, what do we think? Two months to go and really struggling. I think I like it but don't love it.

LOVE it. I'm not Irish, have a 20 year old cousin with the name, sometimes gets Shay. I adore both of the names. Do it. You obviously like it - so what if some others don't? From the most mainstream name to the most unusual there'll always be yay-ers and nay-ers.

@PrincessHoneysuckle it’s pronounced Shaymus. (Caveat - I’m not Irish). But it’s defo nothing like Semen.

I love it. We were tempted by it but have now chosen a different Irish name instead. I like Seami and Shay too.

I LOVE Seamus. It’s a wonderful, classic, dignified name.

Scottish version of James ..
personally not a huge fan of the sound of the name but it's nice and shirt easy to spell.

Fabulous fabulous name. It’s what I’d pick if I had a baby boy. I know a few small Seamus and they are all awesome :)

FREEM isn't Seumas the Scottish version of James? Seamus is most certainly Irish.
