Which do you think is best for our baby girl? Middle name is Violet after her great granny. Big sis is Aurora.

Cecily has a horrible sound to it. Such a harsh S. And sounds like Silly. I say this as someone who has an auntie called Cecily (who I adore). Even knowing someone with this name didn’t change my mind. I hate it 🙈

Out of the 2 names, I prefer Penelope but I think Cecily goes better with violet

I prefer Penelope. Adore nickname Nell. Cecily is nice enough though and has the advantage of being fairly unusual.

Agree with PP, Cecily just sounds like silly and has a horrid harsh S sound to it. Nickname Cissy is really bad and is an insulting word

think Cecily Violet sounds great - although with just 2 options would wait til DD arrives and then decide (we did !) and after a couple of days we were sure....

Cecily Violet for me - but then I’ve been saying that since your 1st thread!

Not yet fully decided but leaning towards Penelope as slightly put off by the comments about Cecily. I do love it as well as Cece however.
