Sorry looking for help again - I’d posted a couple of weeks ago about maybe using by father’s name for baby girl (Terri) but now decided against this.

Now thinking between Emma and Alex (we have Ewan, Eilidh, Peter, Cait, Harry and Robbie already). Maybe with Elizabeth as middle name (for my granny)

Emma Blair or Alex Blair? Which do you prefer

Choices -
Emma Elizabeth
Alex Elizabeth
Emma Olivia
Alex Olivia

Why don’t really want Alexandra or Alexa or long version of Alex.

If we used Emma would call her Emmy as NN when little though Emma at school etc (Robbie is a Robert but uses Robbie exclusively including at school - we used to call Cait, Catie when younger but she now prefers just Cait).

My favourite is Emma Elizabeth Blair

I like Emma Elizabeth Blair. Just check the initials don't make a word with your surname though, such as EEL or EEK!

Alex Blair is a bit too explosive sounding. A bit like 'I'll explode'. I think it's the consonants XBL all in a row.

Emma!

Emma Elizabeth Blair is a great name! Sounds like a poet's name.

Emma Elizabeth.
I wouldn't use Alex without a longer version on bc. Alexis is nice. Alexandria is nice too.

I like Emma Elizabeth best too. I like Alex but prefer it short for something else. I like Alix for a girl though and with that spelling it would be my first choice - sorry, not sure why one letter makes so much difference for me. Australian swim champion Susie O'Neill has daughter Alix (not short for anything) and Princess Alix was spelt this way (though of course she was Alexandra).
