Boy and Girl names needed

Ashleighthemummy · 08/01/2020 17:36

Hi everyone, I don’t know the gender yet but I’m really struggling for names. I’ve got a few so feel free to give your opinions and some more names if you have any.

For girls I like:
Mabel (this is my favourite but I’m still not sure)
Lili
Connie
Florence
Lottie
Emmi

For boys I like:
Albhie (this is my personal favourite)
Cody

Ryler (don’t really like this as a first name, but was my dad‘s -who unfortunately passed when I was a child- middle name so I’d like it as a middle name)

Any other suggestions?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I quite like Thea for a girl but I’m afraid it’ll be hard for a young child to say with it starting with the ‘th’ sound😬

Mabel (this is my favourite but I’m still not sure) - fine
Lili - Lily is better but I don't like Lil
Connie - nice, also like Constance
Florence - nice
Lottie - nice
Emmi - Emmy is better and Emma is lovely

For boys I like:
Albhie (this is my personal favourite) - is it Albie or Alvey? Not keen
Cody - not keen

Ryler (don’t really like this as a first name, but was my dad‘s -who unfortunately passed when I was a child- middle name so I’d like it as a middle name) ok as middle name

Mabel - I love Mabel and probably would of used it if it didn't clash with my surname. I feel Phoebe has a similar feel?

Lili -Lily is pretty, prefer Lillian. There are already several Lily spellings (Lily, Lilly, Lillie). I wouldn't use Lili

Connie - pretty as a nickname for Constance

Florence - love it but too popular for me
Lottie - OK as a nn for Charlotte, though I prefer Charley

Emmi - prefer spelling Emmy but again as a nickname for Emily, Emmeline, Emelia etc

For boys I like:
Albhie (this is my personal favourite) - not even sure how to say this? Is the h silent?

Cody - not a fan, I prefer Corey

Ryler - not a fan, though I understand the sentiment. Riley?

It's so hard work isnt it? We are due our baby in 5 weeks. We got a baby book and both circled the ones we liked, once we had the names we jotted down the ones we agreed on. We started with 12 of each and now 4 girls and 3 boys so getting there.

yogo · 10/01/2020 16:22

Would it be pronounced Al b hee?

My nephew a Albie but that's pronounced Al Bee

AshleighSarah · 11/01/2020 16:48

The H in Albie was a typo x
thank everyone these names are all so lovely, adding more choices to my ever-growing list😂 x

kaezarose · 13/01/2020 09:22

Honestly Cody Ryler sounds very nice to me. And from the girls, Lillie or Florence
