Thinking Elijah for a first name, Eli for nn. Possibly James as a middle name. Initials would be EJC...

I absolutely love it. The name Eli sounds really cool and magical to me. One of my favourites. I’d probably just have Eli but that’s just me

James is a great solid middle name choice

NoSauce · 07/01/2020 17:13

Perfect.

AmazingGreats · 07/01/2020 17:15

Lovely

user1493494961 · 07/01/2020 17:16

Very nice.

Coughy4u · 07/01/2020 17:17

I love it

june2007 · 07/01/2020 17:18

Good name, but certainly not unusual/ uncommon these days.

Grufallosfriends · 07/01/2020 17:21

Is Eli pronounced like the beginning of Eli jah? El lie?

I know quite a few girls called Eli short for Elinor.

doritosdip · 07/01/2020 17:23

It's like Elijah not Ellie (Ee-lie)

Personally love it. Would probably use Eli rather than Elijah

june2007 · 07/01/2020 17:26

Why not Eli on it,s own if you will shorten it to Eli?

CatOnABeanbag · 07/01/2020 17:33

Elijah is lovely and James is nice too. I wonder whether Elijah James is a bit of a mouthful, though, with the 2 'ja' sounds together.

Puppydogg1 · 07/01/2020 17:38

My 6 year old nephew is called Elijah James, I think it's lovely!

littlealexhorne · 07/01/2020 23:53

Love it - its on my list

june2007 · 08/01/2020 00:58

It used to be on mine but too popular.

DramaAlpaca · 08/01/2020 01:02

I don't like it. I'd assume you were very religious. Though funnily enough I wouldn't necessarily think that about other biblical names like Noah or Isaac (which I also dislike) probably because they are more mainstream.

Poorolddaddypig · 08/01/2020 01:55

Love it!!!! I adore biblical names and it’s on my list. I actually prefer Eli alone with James because of the double J sound but Elijah is fab too

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 08/01/2020 04:21

Works. Very nice combo!

Elijah James. It's got a gorgeous quality to it. It conveys handsomeness if that's possible.

alexdgr8 · 08/01/2020 04:28

at last, one I agree with !
its a fine name, almost as good as Jeremiah...

but keep the full name Elijah

Crazycactuslady · 08/01/2020 08:57

@DramaAlpaca my DH's family are religious nuts (whole different story - and properly nuts, not just a bit... ), mine are the polar opposite Wink We have lots of friends with the more common biblical names / I've taught kids with half of them and it's put me right off Blush

Love it!

finallychangedmyusername · 08/01/2020 16:55

I love both names but agree that Elijah James is a little difficult to say. Some suggestions:

Elijah Luke / Elijah Mark / Elijah Seth / Elijah Paul / Elijah Saul (for other one syllable biblical names)
Or Elijah Benjamin / Elijah Thomas / Elijah Matthew for some longer biblical middle names.

Cohle · 08/01/2020 17:09

I love Elijah and Eli.

I do I think the combination with James isn't great though. Too many "J" sounds in quick succession.

LetItGoHome · 08/01/2020 17:21

I really like it. It doesn't matter about the repeated J sounds. The whole name will rarely be said together anyway. It's more important you pick names you like. I like them both 👍😊

sirmione16 · 08/01/2020 17:26

Maybe outing but I have an Eli. It's cool yet not too "out there"

Littleroundsponge · 08/01/2020 17:32

My Godson is called Elijah, I think it's such a beautiful name!

Ohyesiam · 08/01/2020 17:35

Too biblical-statement for me, but if that’s not a problem for you, go for it.
