Makes me think of Les Mis..... is there a character with that name?

I really like French names.

Pretty

Sexnotgender · 03/01/2020 21:14

Not sure. Feels like a mouthwash brand name or something.

Peacefrog23 · 03/01/2020 21:41

I like it, pretty.
I know one, in her thirties.

ParsleyPot · 03/01/2020 21:55

Quite nice, but only as a diminutive for Elizabeth/Elisabeth.

bananahood · 03/01/2020 21:59

Sounds like a fabric conditioner my mum would buy

TatianaLarina · 03/01/2020 22:01

Very 80s. Prefer Elise.

behindlocknumbernine · 03/01/2020 22:01

My best friend as a child when living in the Netherlands was called Lisette. She was lovely. She’d be 48 now too....

I love the name!

milkjetmum · 03/01/2020 22:37

Worked recently with a Liset from Netherlands and she pronounced it lee-jet which was lovely

Pineaurouge · 03/01/2020 22:39

Very popular in France right now. I like it!

Anerak · 03/01/2020 22:40

Lots of Dutch woman called Lisette. I think it could be lovely for a little girl

Elmo230885 · 03/01/2020 22:43

To be honest made me think of tampons
Sorry!

coiner · 03/01/2020 22:44

Yes. Very pretty.

coiner · 03/01/2020 22:46

As an aside, I'm a fan of -ette names in general. DD1 almost had one until we discovered it was also a liqueur 😂 We gave her the un-ette-ed version.

dreichnolonger · 03/01/2020 22:49

I also know a Dutch lady with this name.

Inanothertime · 03/01/2020 22:50

Lysette Anthony

Laylight · 03/01/2020 22:58

Makes me think of someone in the Victorian era dying of consumption

Throughabushbackwards · 03/01/2020 23:02

I also immediately thought of tampons.

sue51 · 03/01/2020 23:03

Very pretty name.

Astronica · 04/01/2020 04:55

Very nice.

peanutfoldover · 04/01/2020 06:03

Is it prounounced Lye-set or Lee-set?

mousemousse · 04/01/2020 06:07

Also made me think of tampons

Ellmau · 04/01/2020 10:33

It makes me think of a maid in a French play. It is quite pretty, though.

TatianaLarina · 04/01/2020 10:51

Li as in lip - zet. Emphasis on second syllable.
