Amy love love love - it's my DD's best friend's name.

The other names blah blah blah...... not as nice as Amy.

Taraohara · 03/01/2020 21:13

I do love Amy! Also a good friends name ! She’s lovey and beautiful. But will she think I’m weird!

I like Chloe best, but also a fan of Sarah (unusual these days) and Amy, though I prefer it spelt Aimee

Suzie is OK as a nn for Susannah but would still be last on my list, though I like Suki

Whatsyourflava · 03/01/2020 21:23

No she won’t think you’re weird. There’s enough chloes in the world for it not to be weird at all @Taraohara

I vote for chloe! ❤️

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/01/2020 21:24

Amy, but prefer Aimee.

AntimonySalts · 03/01/2020 21:25

Not 'Chloe'. It sounds like someone choking.

Suzie, Amy and Sarah are all decent names.

AntimonySalts · 03/01/2020 21:26

Amy is better than Aimee, btw. Aimee sounds like someone who can't spell Amy.

zen1 · 03/01/2020 21:26

I like Susie with an ‘s’ instead of a ‘z’.

MikeUniformMike · 03/01/2020 21:28

Suzie - Susie seems more current
Chloe - overused a few years ago and seems dated
Amy - overused a few years ago and seems dated
Sarah - so many Sarahs in my age group but it's nice. I also like Sara and Sally.

BikeRunSki · 03/01/2020 21:29

TBF though AntimonySalts, Aimee is the actual French spelling of the name, which is French (for “Beloved”). Although I do prefer Amy, but then I have one.

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2020 21:32

Amy is my favourite, spelled that way as anything else is fussy.

I don't like the 'chl' sound in Chloe, and it's dated.

I love Sarah, and especially Sara, it's an underused classic these days.

Suzie/Susie, yes if short for Susannah.

Loveislandaddict · 03/01/2020 21:34

Amy is the best.

Astronica · 04/01/2020 05:09

All okay names. If it were Suzannah or Suzanne nn Suzie that would be my easy first choice. I do like Suzie on it's own but just prefer it as a nn. Amy and Sarah are both lovely. Chloe feels past it's prime to me as I have known so many. I'm sure I have known as many Sarahs and Amys but these feel more traditional so popularity over time doesn't diminish them for me. If I had to be called one from your list I would choose Sarah for its grownup quality and traditional feel.

Lou670 · 04/01/2020 05:19

Amy, as I have one! She is now 21. It was very popular when I named her that.

I spell it as above as it's the English way to spell it. Aimee is the French way of spelling it.

I like the name Chloe. Sarah to me, denotes an older person. perhaps it's making a comeback.

fruityconfusedhotdog · 04/01/2020 05:58

Suzie as a nickname for Suzannah or similar I love.

Sarah is classic and seems to be having a bit of a resurgence.

Amy is perfectly nice. I don't love it but obviously that's just personal taste.

Chloe was hugely popular a few years ago and for that reason I'm less keen for on it than your other choices

daisypond · 04/01/2020 07:09

Suzie - if short for Susannah
Chloe - yes, but a bit dated
Amy- too bland
Sarah - yes, underused. Sara is good too.

Mamabear88 · 04/01/2020 08:02

Chloe is my favourite from your list.

Cornishmum00 · 04/01/2020 08:34

Chloe or amy would be my choices

userabcname · 04/01/2020 08:39

I like Chloe best. It was popular when I was at school but I'm a secondary teacher and haven't come across many in the last 7 years.
