Do most Theos and Theas really became Feeo and Feea?! Must depend where you live.

MikeUniformMike · 02/01/2020 16:37

I'm in the Sarf East. The kids around here are called things like Arfur, Alfie, Albie and Raphael, or Elsie, Daisy or Chanel.

user1493494961 · 02/01/2020 18:20

Robyn, Thea and Etta are OK. Navy, Sunday and Fable are ridiculous. Not keen on your boys names.

@ilovechocolatebiscuits I LOVE Willa and Wilfred - two of my absolute favourites !!

ilovechocolatebiscuits · 02/01/2020 22:21

@MikeUniformMike

Not sure how Willa sounds like Willy but ok

OP posts:
veeboo · 02/01/2020 22:24

Robin and Olive also on my girls list. They are lovely and I intend on using this spelling. Its perfectly acceptable and ONS stats show used by lots of people.

Poorolddaddypig · 03/01/2020 01:29

Willa, Frank, Wilfred, Olive, Robin are all beautiful! Ps: Willa doesn’t sound anymore like ‘willy’ than William does which is a regularly suggested MN favorite - I neverbunferstand why MN loves William and Willow but not Willa

Poorolddaddypig · 03/01/2020 01:30

I think Frank goes amazingly with Arthur. Makes me think of two little east end boys from the 1950s (in a cool way!). Also Olive and Willa go best from the girls list

Jossina · 03/01/2020 04:55

It's too bad you don't like Herbert any more because Bertie goes great with Arthur.

JolieOBrien · 03/01/2020 04:58

Dick Strawbridge and his wife Angela have called their two children Arthur and Dorothy (Escape to the Chateau)

ilovechocolatebiscuits · 03/01/2020 09:50

@veeboo same as me- if I was to use it it would be Robin not Robyn

OP posts:
ilovechocolatebiscuits · 03/01/2020 09:51

@Jossina I can't decide- one hour I hate it the next I love it but our dogs name begins with H which I think is why I wouldn't use it

OP posts:
ilovechocolatebiscuits · 03/01/2020 09:52

@JolieOBrien omg I actually love Dorothy!
